My father is actually very conservative, he just loves the FOX News T&A...

My brother moved to Mass in the early 80's, married and settled down in New England. One night, my father started bitching about Ted KENNEDY, and my brother said, "oh yeah, I voted for him." My father was a little speechless and asked why, and it's basically because despite all of his demons, he's a very effective leader and gets the "pork" for Massachusetts.

KENNEDY has always been the most natural politicians, ironically since he was the worst students in the KENNEDY clan, and in a sense a tragic figure. There is little doubt that he would have been President by now if he hadn't had that accident and the unfortunate death of Mary Jo Kopechne. But, it's funny that he's a constant target for right-wing barbs, which shows you how effective, and in a sense, powerful he really is. But I wonder what the psyche of anybody that has lost two brothers to murders, rife with conspiracies, and himself admitted that he assumed he was a deadman too, would have turned out in real life. And BTW WARHAM, you know as well as I that those "loony Massachusetts liberals" have a (substandard) Republican Governor, as does NYS...

BTW, my brother has met with both KENNEDY, and Barney FRANK, for job-related stuff, and was at least somewhat impressed by them. He made sure not to bend over in front of Frank though.

For the record, I think (as JACK CAFFERTY on CNN does) that SHEEHAN blew it. She should have worn a "Have a Nice Day" tee-shirt or something and should have gotten in, at all costs, it would have been much more effective..

In any case, the Capital Police have apologized and she was released with no charges...

If she would have done that I think the more moderate people would possibly notice her cause and have an ounce of respect for her. The way she acts she looks like an out of control nut bag. Or as I stated a dumb cunt.

After reviewing the situation and getting the facts i have determined she should not have been arrested at all.
If her protest was silent, and it seems it was to that point, they had no right to remove her.
She wasn't disrupting the event so she should have just been left alone until she made noise.
There is no dress code, more like a Sheehan code, where they aren't allowed.

I don't respect the woman, but it is now clear she was done wrong last night, very wrong.
Her ticket gave her access to the speech and her attire was not a threat to anyone or the event as long as she sat quietly.

There are a whole slew of issues from last night that right now aren't sitting well with me.
I think they actually keep Bush in a bubble from everything but what he's told to say and do...he sure as hell doesn't answer for himself and then he barely answers a question, if at all.
