    Lest we forget

    It's all about the Money......
anti-war protester Cindy Sheehan hails Venezuela’s Chavez

CARACAS (AFP) - Anti-war protester Cindy Sheehan, mother of a US soldier killed in Iraq, joined more than 10,000 anti-globalization activists in Caracas, where she hailed Venezuela’s leftist President Hugo Chavez.

"I admire him for his resolve against my government and its meddling," said Sheehan, who gained notoriety when she camped outside US President George W. Bush’s ranch last year to protest the Iraq war. She said she hoped to meet Chavez later in the week.

Sheehan was among more than 10,000 people from across the Americas who took to the streets of the Venezuelan capital Tuesday in an anti-war protest that launched the six-day Caracas World Social Forum (WSF).

My government should not meddle anywhere, the "peace mom" told AFP during the march, which was marked by anti-Bush slogans.

We must stop the Iraq war, we must not let it happen again, said Sheehan, who has been arrested at least twice while demonstrating outside the White House.

Tuesday’s march ended outside the armed forces headquarters, on an avenue usually reserved for military parades. "It’s a peace route now," Sheehan said.

Sheehan, whose son Casey was killed in Iraq on April 4, 2004, said she would remain in Caracas until the WSF concludes on Sunday, and would address participants on several occasions.

Saddam Hussein was legally elected as well, FORD.

Are you defending Hugo Chavez' behavior now?

I love how liberals always side with the dictator, unless you are talking about John F. Kennedy. Then Castro was evil. Now he's just misunderstood.

He actually did get 99% of the popular vote in his last election. But I think they were using Diebold machines.

I was hoping WARHAM could explain to me how a candidate (Chavez) running in an internationally supervised election against multiple candidates could compare to a Stalinist election featuring a single candidate and political party...

                      Here's the Scoop ..

DO YOU NOT THINK THAT THE MOST ROTTEN THING Ms Sheehan

could do to her stand against Bush the American Involvement in Iraq.

Is to Fly to a communist country that has advocated War against
America and Pose and..... GET PAID..?

In my mind this proves my point from earlier threads it's not
about her -Son- it's not about -Bush- Iraq -anything-.

It's about her self promotion and MONEYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!

What little ground she gained is all Ruined ...

she will now begin her decent into obscurity.....

Look at the Smile on that sik bitches fukking ugly face

I gave her the benefit of the doubt due to a mothers love and the insanity involved therein.

Little did you all know what was her true agenda....brutalizing
her son over and over again to the point of her becoming perhaps
the reason he joined and the reason he died.

"I clutched him to my breast while nursing him at two weeks old
and told him you will never serve in the US military."

remember that quote from one of her rallys...?????

Yes, but the BCE coup in Venezuela failed, because the right wing and the corporations don't control the media down there. So the people were aware of what was happening and they stopped the coup.

Just like the Ukranian people stopped the Putin/KGB backed election theft in their country.

If the media still did their goddamn job in this country, Florida never would have happenned. Let alone the 2004 Diebold theft in Ohio.

Hugo Chavez, an arm around Sheehan’s shoulders, told a group of activists that she had told him “she is going to put up her tent again in front of Mr. Danger’s ranch” in April.

In some of his strongest recent comments aimed at Washington, Chavez condemned the Bush administration and said his audience should work toward ending U.S. dominance.

“Enough already with the imperialist aggression!” Chavez said, listing countries from Panama to Iraq where the U.S. military has intervened. “Down with the U.S. empire! It must be said, in the entire world: Down with the empire!”

Chavez said Sheehan had invited him to join her April protest at Bush’s Crawford, Texas, ranch. Sheehan, whose 24-year-old soldier son Casey was killed in Iraq in 2004, held a vigil outside Bush’s ranch during the president’s vacation in August, attracting some 12,000 peace activists and reinvigorating the national anti-war movement.

“Maybe I’ll put up my tent also,” Chavez said, to applause from an audience invited to his weekly broadcast on the final day of the World Social Forum, an annual gathering of anti-war and anti-globalization activists.

Chavez said his government would help protest the war in Iraq by supporting a drive to gather petitions and delivering them to the U.S. Embassy in Caracas. Chavez, who before the war in Iraq had friendly relations with Saddam Hussein, has been a frequent and strident critic of the war.

Sheehan thanked Chavez for “supporting life and peace.” She said earlier that she was impressed by his sincerity when they met privately on Saturday.

“He said, ’Why don’t I run for president?”’ she said. “I just laughed.”

Sheehan also noted that singer and activist Harry Belafonte recently called Bush “the greatest terrorist in the world,” and said, “I agree with him. George Bush is responsible for killing tens of thousands of innocent people.”

Sheehan, who lives in Berkeley, Calif., said Saturday that she is strongly considering challenging Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein of California because the lawmaker will not support calls to immediately bring the troops home.

Sheehan, 48, who was visiting Venezuela for the six-day forum, said running in the Democratic primary in June would help “bring attention to all the peace candidates in the country.” She said she will decide whether to run after talking with her three adult children in California.

Feinstein’s campaign manager, Kam Kuwata, said the senator did not support Bush and felt she had been misled by his administration. But with troops committed, Feinstein believes immediate withdrawal is unworkable, he said.

“Senator Feinstein’s position is, ’Let’s work toward quickly turning over the defense of Iraq to Iraqis so that we can bring the troops home as soon as possible,”’ Kuwata said in an interview Saturday.
                            Here ya' go DD.

Go back to the Pleasure Dome and give out Karma points you fucking hypocritical, self-serving SHEEP phony!
