So when the Democrats take back control it'll only be a matter of years before they have some kind of scandal.
I think both sides are bitterly partisan. Republicans back Bush almost to a fault (even if it means they are wrong) because they are so partisan, and the Democrats are very partisan..as an example they cheered during the State of the Union address after Bush stated that Social Security reform didn't happen, only because it was Bush's idea.

These are intelligent, legitimate comments; they deserve a well thought-out response. Unfortunately my little brain is clouded by the fumes of OV beer. So I'll hold off until tomorrow...

If someone's actually pressing charges for this stupid shit, then I guess there will be a trial, but never mistake the actual motivations behind it.
The treasonous bastards who are destroying this country HATE Cynthia McKinney. They spent millions to buy her seat in 2002, and she came back and won in 2004 anyway. They hate her with an intensity far more than my hatred for the BCE.
Except at least mine is justified.
Ford, even Nancy Pelosi has been quoted as saying, "there's never an excuse for hitting a police officer," in regards to this case. She's not above the law...

Nancy Pelosi is one of the biggest AIPAC whores in Congress. Steny Whore tells her to jump and she asks "How high?" And her daughter flies around on Air Farce One with the Chimp.
I'm no fan of Pelosi, and hope to GOD someone with a little integrity challenges her presumed bid to be Speaker of the House in January.

Originally posted by ULTRAMAN VH Ford, Nancy Pelosi is about as far left as the dial will turn, and you don't support her????????? If you have time please enlighten me.
How is she "far left"?? Just because the right wing media says so?
For one thing, the idea of ANY politician currently in American politics being far left is ludicrous. Bernie Sanders is probably about as left as you get in national politics. He's an independent though. Which will only get you elected in Vermont.
Dennis Kucinich or Barbara Boxer would be considered centrists in most other "Democratic" countries. The DLC'ers would be the extreme right, and the neocon Republicans wouldn't even be on the map.
The whole political spectrum of left-center-right has been horribly distorted in this country for the last 30 years. Barry Goldwater lost the 1964 election because people literally feared that he was such an extremist right winger that he would surely get us in a nuclear war with the Soviets.
By the time Barry Goldwater died in the 1990's, his own party, the very party that built on his plan for a conservative takeover, had gone so far to the right that they accused him of being a "liberal", because he didn't see the point in excluding gays from the military.
Goldwater was just as conservative as he was in 1964 when mushroom clouds were being used in campaign ads against him. He hadn't changed. His party had, due to corporatist and foreign influence.
And then the DLC, Republican moles who operate within the Democratic party, steered that party towards, and even beyond the point in the political spectrum where Goldwater had been. And now the worst among them support the exact same agenda as the neocons.
End result : a far right corporatist-fascist party and a center-right party still pretending to represent the American people is the state of mainstream politics today. There are no true left wingers in Washington DC.
God forbid...... some actual progress might happen if there was a little balance there.
