MEXICO CITY (Reuters) - Mexico's conservative presidential candidate Felipe Calderon declared victory on Monday in a bitterly contested election and official returns appeared to show his leftist rival could no longer catch him.
If the votes aren't even officially counted until Wednesday (Mexico gets the 4th of July off?) then it's obviously too early for either side to be celebrating.
But it goes without saying that a third country on this continent run by corporatist neocons won't be good news for anyone.
