Has anyone seen this documentary? I know its from tub o lard Michael Moore but it is extremely interesting. And it has Rick Nielson in it from Cheap Trick. He just had his media escort kicked out of the building as a joke. He told security she was a stalker. That's fuckin funny. Anyways, its about how corporate America is making record profits yet still laying people off like the company that makes Payday candy bars. One plant in Illinois was making over $20 million in profit by itself but was closed with all the employees layed off. Why is the Pillsbury Co. using $11 million in government welfare money to advertise in third world countries? This is obviously a one sided look at the issue but there is really no excuse for laying off thousands of people when you make a $6 billion dollar profit like Proctor and Gamble. It is actually pretty funny. He's been going from company to company on his book tour and giving away awards like "Downsizer Of The Year"! That kicks ass.
"HMO stands for Hand the Money Over"! That's great. He just put Phil Knight on the spot by getting two plane tickets to visit his factories in Indonesia and he's refused to go.
Say what you will about his 911 doc. I've seen it and though I agree with most of it but I know he left out alot of things that would contradict his own point of view. I did like "Bowling For Columbine" and thought it was exceptional though.
