    Bush and wordplay

I had to laugh hearing a clip of Bush's speech tonight.

"The Iranian regime and its terrorist proxies have demonstrated their willingness to kill Americans -- and now the Iranian regime is pursuing nuclear weapons. The world is working together to prevent Iran's regime from acquiring the tools of mass murder."

So the speech writers have done some research no doubt and realised that the phrase 'Weapons of Mass Destruction' now kind of sucks since it was used to justify the war in Iraq and they never turned up.

'The Tools of Mass Murder' is the new one then.

    TMMs.

I wonder if when Congress next approves the US 'defence' spending on her insanely huge nuclear weapons program, long irrelevant after the end of the Cold War; will it now be under the heading 'Tools of Mass Murder'?

And before someone gets pissy about the fact the Iranian President has said some nutty shit can I ask can anyone remember who the only country in the whole world is that has used these 'Tools of Mass Murder'?

    Cheers!
