Now everytime I think of Rush there will always be the notion of a repug radio shill in the back of my head when I think of the great Canadian rock band with the similar name.
Back in the 90's, which was the last time I could stand to listen to Rush Limpdick, he used to play a loop of the Rush song "Bravado" from RTB as the show was fading to commercial. I'm not sure how the band dealt with it but I have read where Neil has trashed Limbaugh specifically - in fact, the title to the instrumental "Limbo" on T4E was inspired by the radio host's name and if I remember correctly, Neil threw some barbs his way in the liner notes.

Now, don't think about him anymore...
There is only ONE real "Rush"
I took a leak next to Geddy Lee once. Me and some friends actually helped the road crew when they were setting up for a show during the Signals tour. We were their gophers.
Hell, I prefer to listen to opinions of those who have actually been in combat about Iraq. Rather than the dumbfuck audio/video celebrities and politicians who have never been there.

My hubby is a huge fan of Neil Peart... he would have LOVED to have the chance to unload this elaborate drumset!

A friend of mine spent one and a half years in Tikrit, Iraq. He was showing me photos of his tour the other day. He's with Hilary Clinton in one photo and sitting in one of Saddam's big gold thrones in another. He left a wife and three kids at home.
He bitches the least about our involvement in Iraq and he could have lost his life or limbs there.
All he says is it's a brutal part of the world. He said the Iraqi police would beath the shit out of people becuase that's how it's done there. He just most people in the US have no idea what they have here.

I didn't get to meet Niel Peart. Alex Lifeson was a hoot! He let us check the tour bus out and he started driving the thing himself around the parking lot himself! That guy had a wild streak!
My friends mom worked at the venue and we were just throwing a frisby after a basketball game. These trucks started comming in after the game and they were setting up the stage. One guy comes up and asks if we could stop throwing the frisby and then askes if we would like free tickets if we helped them unload some trucks.
We unloaded cables for the lighting rig and PA system and anything else they needed. We got Staff passes and they gave my friends mom a ticket and backstage pass.
I was really impressed that the trucks were Mercedes Benz. LOL!
I thought RUSH were a top notch outfit from the band to the road crew. Nice people.

Tikrit?!?! That's Saddam Central over there! I got off easy while I was there and stayed at Al-asad the whole time. Even though it was highly secure, we still had rocket attacks. Sure as hell didn't feel like going for a run or to the weights tent after that. The only thing that kept my morale going was the big-titty fiancee I had back in bama and the shitload of money I was being paid every month. And since our nation wasn't in any immediate threat and the chimp gave out private companies billions of dollars, I came to the conclusion that this war was just a scheme to make a few people rich. After coming back home, I just got tire of the BS last year and left the USMC when I had the chance. This next video showed me someone in a similar situation and made a difference a marine made in preventing the country from being overthrown by the elites. This person is two time Medal of Honor recipient Smedley D. Butler:
