You posted that it was terrible that North America had to pay to 'support' these people.

I don't know if you are an American living in Canada or a Canadian.

Point is that this was an illegal war to rid Iraq of non existent WMD's which resulted in 10s of thousands of innocent kids like the one in the pic being killed.

If you are going to take a step like that then you better be spectacularly confident of your facts and absolutely sure it will save millions of lives. The fact is our politicians either lied or fucked up. For you in the aftermath to turn around looking for compensation is offensive to me but fuck knows how the father in the picture would feel.

I'm a Canadian. Yes, the war is illigal only because the UN didn't give Bush and co. the green light.
Leading up to this, the UN didn't know if Suddam had WMD. So hind sight is 20/20.
We all know what Saddam was capeable of. He murdered 1000's and terrorized millions. He had to be removed from power.
When our countries take this type of task on, there are huge $$$ involved. We have done this many times the world over.
All I'm saying is once order is re-established, we never see anything back financial or otherwise.
