This is such complete crap that the Pukes and the DLC are spinning.
I'll bet the right wingers aren't aware that Pearl Jam played a benefit concert for the John Tester campaign. Yeah, it's true that Jeff Ament grew up in Montana and knew Tester from way back, but it's also true that Pearl Jam are solid Liberals with a capitol L and they wouldn't be endorsing a candidate who didn't share their views.
They didn't play any concerts for Maria Cantwell in other words. Even though she's their senator.
Jim Webb, as I pointed out earlier, was talking old school Liberal values in a state where even the Democrats are usually Republicans.
Voters in Arizona, known as a conservative state, rejected the wedge issue nonsense of a gay marriage ban. And in South Dakota, again hardly a bastion of leftism, voters rejected a ban on abortion that a right wing judge had forced on the state earlier in the year as a religious right test case.
Speaking of the religious right, even 30% of evangelicals bailed on their party and voted Democrat.
Claire McCaskill won in Missouri and she credited Mush Limpdick for pissing people off with his senseless attack on Michael J. Fox's political ad in which his Parkinson's disease symptoms were more than obvious. These same voters also rejected the backasswards attitude toward science pushed by the BCE and the religious reich, and this was in a Southern conservative state!!
This was not a gain for conservatism under any label or disguise. This was a clear swing of the pendulum the other direction. And hopefully it will keep on going in that direction in future elections long enough to undo all the damage
Republicans, take your party back from the BCE and the neocons and get back to the party of Teddy Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln.
And the Democratic wing of the Democratic party will continue to do what we have done since Howard Dean took the reigns. Rebuild our party without the interference of the DLC and the corporations and foreign interests who control them.
