Here is an idea to end the war...

The Democrats want a timetable for bringing troops home. themonkey only understands war, and throws a temper tantrum like any normal 3-year-old whenever he is not allowed to play in his sandbox.

Well, only Congress can authorize funding.

Since themonkey hoots and gibbers and refuses to sign a funding bill with a timetable....all the Dems have to do is keep submitting bills to him with timetables.

Eventually funding will run out, and the military will have to bring our troops home because no one will be able to pay for them to stay over there.

Anyone ever see George Lucas's first film THX-1138? The same principle is used in his vision of a future underground society. The RoboCops are chasing our hero, but in the end they are called off because the budget for chasing him runs out.

Well, what the Dems could do is seperate the bills.

Run one up the hill that has funding. Get it passed.
Run another up the hill that has the funding that's being called "pork".

    THEN, start the withdrawal discussions...

I mean, shit, the President's not refusing to fund, he's refusing to put a timetable. They KNOW this. If it's so important to them to fund why not make it a seperate issue to ensure the funding is there? Rocket science? No, it's a political ploy to get a Democrat elected in '08 more than it is a stance in favor of the soldiers. They know what they're doing and they think that we don't.

What's going to happen is already happening. Funding won't stop for the war, it will just be taken from other military projects in other places. Like new recruit training, in-country supplies, et. al. I know for a fact that here in NC some cleaning services are being let go with the responsibility of keeping the base facilities clean falling back on the military personnel. They're complaining about it, but from what I understand the cleaning services were being paid around $15 an hour per person.

      Hell, that is ridiculous.

When I was in the army one of the first things they taught us in basic training was how to use a motorized floor polisher, and if you did not know how to CLEAN stuff, you learned in a hurry.

They have an entire population of service men and women who understand the basic concepts of cleanliness. They HAVE to know. You will not make it past basic without that knowledge.
