The Amber Alert...

I'm curious about something...Who decided that a missing Children alert should use the same Warning System as A Nuclear Bomb, A Hurricane and Tornado currently uses? Look I know searching for missing kids is important, But since when Should they let it use the same system as Something that could affect Millions of people, I just think that Priorities should be set for such a thing...Thoughts?

Well it isn't the same. In case of a tornado they sound sirens and emergency broadcast sytems stay on until the threat is over. With amerber alerts they do radio announcments and put up the emergency broadcast system up one or two times. It doesn't really bother me at all either because if I had my child kidnapped I would love this system because it does a lot of good. Who cares if you miss 2 minutes of Grey's Anatomy?

It's not that...But If we were on the edge of Nuclear War with North Korea or something..And some three year old goes missing in Ohio..You're going to have a lot of panicked people...I just think that a Different Tone should be used..

Well I wouldn't know about the Ohio girl since I live in texas, and if she did go missing just find the nearest Michigan fans and she will probably be there. Go Blue.

Children are important, and time is of the essence...

I fully support the use of the Amber Alert system for trying to save abducted children...

In 99% of cases, we'll have some advanced warning of a hurricane, nuclear conflict, or whatever....

There is no advanced warning for when a pedophile cunt kidnaps some kid...

And on a lighter note:


I also hope the Amber Alert System is used to alert me if a hot chick named "Amber" enters my proximity...

that last part would kick ass. you're just watchin some tv and then the screen turns to black and says "Hot amber approaching, spritz some colgne fix hair and go outside in an orderly fashion."

I guess Your Right..I support it, wholeheartidly, BUT..Just I wish they would use a different Tone to give warnings about such a thing...

On the lighter side, I wonder if Joe Thunder was ever thrown in jail for anything involved with an amber alert..:D
