Deficite spending is a big mind game. As long as people trade it, you can influx electronic and paper money into the economy.

History is full of deficite spending nightmares where the bubble gets too big and explodes taking the whole economy with it.

Nowadays we have computerized trading with built in circut breakers that stop a panic run on the market. We also have insured banks or the the illusion of that. We have the Federal Reserve. We have foriegn nations willing to buy our debt.

Sure some of the above can fail and cause panic, but we are in new territory here. No time in the history of the world has money been so creative. How will it all go to pot and when? Nobody really knows. We could continue this game for a long, long time.

Caused by Alan Greenspan not raising the intrest rate before things got too out of hand. Benanke finally lowered rates to stem the panic.

What we need to do in the US to take advantage of the low dollar is manufacture goods we can sell overseas. China is ruining our ability to produce goods. We need to manufacture goods here again and a weak dollar would make our goods competative.
