Hansens just recently converted their allegedly "Natural Sodas" from High Fructose Corn Poison (not at all natural) back to cane sugar (which is refined, but still something God would recognize as His own design). They deserve a plug for that.

And Jones Soda company is based right here in Cascadia, so they deserve a shout out too.

My grandmother, god rest her soul, swore that "Skin so soft" shit was the best mosquito repellent ever invented.

That makes me think of this stuff. If you have dogs, it works great on their nose when it gets dry & cracked. Paw pads as well. Vet recommended it. I think my Mom used to use on her feet too.

Got a can of the stuff somewhere in the bathroom. It works great as an antiseptic to fight infections. I used to get horribly infected ingrown toenails when I was a teenager. There were times I literally couldn't put on shoes. I thought my mom was crazy when she told me to put that ugly, stinky, greasy stuff that was apparently made for cow tits on my feet, but I'll be damned if it didn't clear up the infection. So I've always kept it around for the hell of it since then. That and a bottle of hydrogen peroxide.

I had to buy some light bulbs today at Home Depot. All brands offered were made in China

I was in a 99-cent store this weekend and saw some sponges made in the USA.

That's the type of stuff I'm looking for. Sure there are Craftsman tools, Buck Knives, Smith & Wesson guns, etc...made in the USA, but if an American wants to make any sort of impact it's the everyday products we should be looking for. Sponges, light bulbs, batteries, detergent, shampoo, razors, film, ink pens, clothing, dvd's, beer...

At our local convenient store, I saw those "magic gloves" for $1.00. made in Canada. Only the quality was so much better than the ones at Dollarama!
We're slowly gettin' there...

Bought a package of new Fender volume/tone knobs today at Guitar Center...MADE IN USA!

Just shows that the US is still the best place for an old fashioned knobber.
