        SDI was pushed for two reasons, Grasshopper.

        FEAR

        MONEY.


        And you should do some research on The Gipper's deal with the Iranians to release the hostages for Weapons, and then taking the money and funding central american terrorists

        And when the AG was about to testify in front of congress about it, he collapsed in his office, brought to a hospital, where he was LOBOTOMIZED so he couldnt speak.

        And then he died....

                            There was a guy on Art Bell a few years ago that claims the US militarization of spaced was for this reason.

                            And so was the fact the the US and Russian still maintain large nuclear weapons stocks. It's the ultimate "scorched earth" strategy...
