One thing I can tell you, from personal experience, Around 1993
I used to do service work on PC's at an Aborignal Affairs office
(Ironically I think it was in Redfern !)
The whole staff were aborigines. It was all Govt funded by the
then Labour party. These dudes would think nothing of writing
a cheque for $1000 for me to walk in the door for ten minutes.

I fucking loved it everytime they put in a service call.
1- it was always a piss easy problem to fix
2- they threw money at you like there was no tomorrow..

Interest rates dont bother me..
I always make sure I have more in an offset account
than what I owe on the property..
This way you pay no interest.
