This proportional delegate crap in the Democratic primaries is messing Obama up

Obama would have already knocked Hillary out of the box if it was a "winner take all" system.

Hell, Obama has been winning all of the recent primaries but Hillary is still able to stay in the race because Obama has still got less than a hundred delegates more than her, even with yesterday's wins. The proportional delegate system may be a more equitable way of distributing delegates, but it leaves too much to the super-delegates if the race comes right down to the wire.

With Ohio, Texas, and Pennsylvania coming up and Hillary ahead in the polls in all three, she may just be able to hold on until the convention or may even pull ahead. We'll see what kind of crap Bill and Hill pull then.

It'll be interesting to watch.

i like the concept of proportional delegates as long as all states abide by that. while most democratic primaries are proportional, not all are.

though, my support extends to the general as well. if we're going to keep the electoral college, it should be proportional, too.

the concept that i can lose 10 states by 10 votes, but win 1 state by 10,000 votes and still lose is a little arbitrary to me.

I happened to come across some news video clip that did the comparison on where the race would be if it was winner take all, and actually, Obama's lead would be even smaller at this point, I think on the order of about 45 more delegates, if it were winner take all. He hasn't won the really big states (delegate-wise), hence the small lead despite the string of recent wins. GO OBAMA!!!
