I think maybe most people think its been a bit expensive but how many realise that fucking insane amounts involved?

It's mind blowing.

The Bush administration costing was $50 - $60 billion. A fuck of a lot of money to get rid of a tinpot dicator you might think.

Larry Lindsay a Whitehouse economist said it could end up being 100-200 billion so was sacked with Rumsfeld saying 'Baloney!'.

It's now estimated to exceed $3 trillion.

That's a really mindbendingly big number.

200 times what they said.

A couple of years ago Bush said that the US had a really major problem with social security. 1/6th of the Iraq war spending would sort that for 50-75 years.

$12 billion a month up front ignoring the long term stuff.

The US gives $5 billion a year in aid to Africa.

For 2 weeks fighting you could buy no illiteracy anywhere in the world.

For each US soldier in the field it's costing $400 000.

That's $400 000 per guy on average.

This is partly because for every death there are 15 very serious injuries that you will need to pay for. You don't hear so much about that.

This doesn't even include the insane cost to the economy of the price of oil going from $25 to $100 a barrel.

You're probably not serious, but may I suggest simply dumping his threads, as an alternative. In my mind there is a difference between dumping threads (which does not alter content) and editing or deleting them. Sarge and the webbies have strong feelings about editing or deleting posts.

This is why I dump Savicki's threads rather than edit or delete them. Cadaverwhoever is a tool but things only get worse when we edit or delete posts of tools.
