Not to mention quite the surplus, which quickly went down the turlet....Yeah, so stupid he managed to leave office with almost twice the approval rating of his predecessor....
And such clever witticisms actually only work when more than five inbreds actually subscribe to that theory. Very few, if any of Clinton's political enemies would ever have called him "dumb."Eat Us And Smile - The Originals

Can't. You know the state of our state. The city is in horrible shape.Whatever school you're in - quit and run away as fast as you can...
Of course, I used to work with the same type but on the opposite end of the spectrum: inbred hicks that thought Jews were all greedy bankers and schoolboard members that wanted to censor and punish students for writing critical essays of Bush in the school newspaper...
So it balances out...Roth Army MilitiaComment

The kids I teach don't have very involved parents. I had to buy my class folders cuz most of the parents didn't. (And before anyone says anything about cost/poverty, I've met all the parents. Diamonds blinged up the wahzoo. Designer name purses.)Roth Army MilitiaComment

They're building it -- surely and slowly. It's suppose to be done around 2011, but I don't see how seeing that they're going the speed of smell. The huge train station hub that they made (and dug up those sacred footprints you hear so much about) has been there for many years now. Other than that, it's a huge, empty, construction site that people visit.I can't imagine what that would have been like on NYC TV considering how long it went on for thousands of miles away over here.
OT but whatever happened to the replacement, the Freedom Tower or whatever? Have they started building it yet?
I still think they should have built an airport instead and force them to make a perfect landing next time...
Personally, I always thought that if they weren't going to build office space back that they should have made a simple, humble, museum about the history and significance of the towers and downtown. It would be a great addition to the area because there's so much history of different aspects right in one spot. There's so much land that there could have been little models of downtown throughout the years. But whatever -- we'll have our tower whenever they finish it.Roth Army MilitiaComment

I have my political views, but I'm moreso a fan of the process. He got the electorial votes, then he wins.
Right now, I'm cleaning my slate of my political views and waiting to see what happens. I'm hoping that what history has shown us about presidents who enter into the beginning of a rough economic situation doesn't happen. Because if it does, than the hope of other non-white males getting an opportunity might vanish.
And, in ways, I'm glad Palin got the VP nod. That, and (and deffy not of lesser importance) Hillary fighting for the Democratic prez nomination has helped place women into consideration as part of this process. We hadn't had a female in any sort role since Geraldine back in early 80-something. We can say whatever we want about their politics or how they polarized voters, or other nonsense that doesn't matter at this junction. The point is that they were apart of this huge story. Their faces were out there and, hopefully, others can join.
So, my hope in all of this is that Obama has somesort of success so that this door can stay open. I'm looking big picture. That, and I'll admit -- I think it would be awesome to have a black female president.Roth Army MilitiaComment

It's a popularity contest.
It's about a freakin' checkbox on a ballot!
There is no "open door" to anyone, and he got in because he's the Champion Emeritus of every illiterate and denigrated social group and for no other reason.
And since he's campaigned as the Messiah yet now at Inauguration whipping out his Swiss Army Knife of excuses, he won't be reelected. He'll have few friends left after the first 6 months, after which he'll try to unite the country under fear of war with Iran, and that still won't work. So he'll have to go - the logic already plays out with little guesswork for variables to change the outcome.
He didn't have to overpromise everything to everybody but he did.Comment

Surely though the fact that she was the most incompetent idiot candidate in the history of Western democracies is less than good for the future of womens representation?
She was so incredibly appallingly stupid that SNL just put someone up that looked like her and said verbatim what she said and people rolled about on the floor laughing.
That's fucked up and an example of positive discrimination (in this case to try and get woman voters) going horribly horribly wrong.Comment

Sarah Palin was just a female Chimpy. An empty headed moron they wanted to put in front of a camera to babble on and on about Jesus while some Cheneyish figure actually ran things in the shadows. Same thing Poppy did with Reagan, for that matter, but at least Reagan knew how to act in front of a camera, and could read his script well.Eat Us And Smile
