    Government Stimulus Grants

    All about US Government Grants!

    February 9th, 2009[/url]

Get the money that the government owes you. Each year, the US Government gives out billions and billions in Grants to people just like you. No one ever thinks they can really get a grant, which makes it easier for the few people who actually try!

Learn exactly how I got this check for $12,759.62!

The picture above I took when I received my grant check in the mail. This is the day my life finally turned around! On December 18th, 2008 I received a check in the mail from the US government for $12,000. It was enough to pay off the $10,000 in credit card debit I had accumulated, and allowed me to take a nice vacation with my family, and SAVE $1,000. Saving, is something we had never been able to do before. I was surprised when I got my first check for $450 but once I got $12,000 I was blown away. After hearing all the news on the Government Bailout of the banks and the possibility of an Auto industry bailout, I decided there had to be a way for me to get some money like that from the government. Because if anyone needs a bailout, it is hard working Americans like myself, who have a hard time keeping their head above water. After doing some research I found that the US Government has all kinds of free grants available to the public, for all sorts of reasons, that often go unclaimed. And these grants aren’t loans, they are checks you never have to pay back, funded by diffrent government agencies. These agencies want people to claim these grants so they can hit their budget, since if they spend less money they get a smaller budget the following year. So these government employee processors are just approving application after application, especially if no one is applying for tons of these financial aid programs. There are literally tens of thousands of grants from the federal and state organizations, but its almost impossible to find them without some help. After searching around I found a few different programs that help guide you through the process and make things SO much easier. A couple of the programs I tried didn’t work at all, or didn’t have any actual grants listed, but Financial Crisis Grants had a huge amount of listings and everything I needed to apply. How I got my grants that actually came - and fast!

Step 1: Financial Crisis Grants: All you have to do is fill out the short form and pay a small shipping fee (like $2). The CD and instructions came a few days later. Financial Crisis Grants helped me find the grants that I qualified for that can do everything from pay your rent, school, credit card debt, or even certification classes (job related, etc). Financial Crisis Grants is used to:

Help explain the entire grant process for federal, state, and local grants
Find massive listings of the actual grants along with where to apply
Apply and submit for the grants
Explain all the in & outs of actually getting the grants
It was an awesome little kit and a huge help in getting these grants. I don’t think I could have done it without some help and it definitely saved me tons of time and money.

Step 2: Wait for the grant checks to arrive. Most of the government agencies don’t offer direct deposit into your bank account so you will have to wait at least a few days for the checks to arrive. I’ve heard some people that got them in literally days after they applied, but all of mine took at least one week. But heck waiting is easy. The results? I got over $12,000 in less then a month! It took a little over two weeks for the first check to arrive (just $450), but soon after I got checks for $5000, $6500, and then right before the end of the month a whopping check for $12,000. Using the last grant alone I was able to pay off almost all my debt, take a vacation, and save a little. The other grant checks are being used for other things like home improvements, and a couple other programs that I’m keeping to myself lol. Now that I have paid off our debt and put some money aside, my wife and I are so much happier. It is funny how money can stress your life so much, as I am sure many of you know. Hopefully after the next grant I get I’ll be able to my sister start saving for her kid’s college educations. But most importantly I want to help other people get the money they are entitled to and not stand by while all these fat cats from large companies get rich off government bailouts. We all deserve to live debt free, so I am glad I signed up for Financial Crisis Grants and was finally able to get some of my own grants. Good Luck and let me know how it works out for you!

Are you this gullible Elvis? Don't answer that!

With talk of stimulus plans ruling the news, it’s no surprise a new round of stimulus scams are afoot.

Here’s how it goes: The email says you’re eligible to get an economic stimulus payment. You just have to send back a form or submit one online to get it. The message might appear to come from a rebate company or look like it’s straight from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

But the promise of stimulus money in return for a fee or financial information is always a scam, according to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation’s consumer protection agency.

There’s more than one way to perpetuate a stimulus scam. Some scam artists ask you to send a small processing fee, supposedly to get a much larger check in return. That’s money you’ll never see again. Others skip the fee, and instead, ask for your bank account number so they can “deposit” your check. Then, they use the information to clean out your account or open new ones using your identifying information.

Some stimulus scams encourage you to click on links, open attached forms, or call phony toll-free numbers. But simply clicking the link or opening the document can install harmful software, like spyware, on your computer. The result could be your personal information ending up in the hands of an identity thief.

If you get a message offering you money from the stimulus program in exchange for your personal information, ignore it, delete it, or throw it out. The IRS doesn’t send emails like this asking for personal information, and rebate companies claiming to have stimulus payments for you should not be trusted, regardless of how plausible the script sounds or how official the forms look.

When a stimulus plan does involve a check to you (it may not), you won’t need to fill out a separate form in an email or give out personal information — like account numbers or your Social Security number — to someone who calls you out of the blue.

If you get an unexpected email from someone claiming to be from the IRS and asking you to call a number or email back personal information, forward it to phishing@irs.gov, then delete it without clicking on any links or opening any attachments. If you think you are the target of a scam, you also can file a complaint with the FTC at ftc.gov/complaint.

If you need to reach an agency like the IRS, don’t use phone numbers or links included in an email. Always type the web address directly into your browser, and look up any url you aren’t sure about. Use phone numbers listed on agency websites or in other reliable sources, like the Blue Pages in your phone directory.

The FTC works for the consumer to prevent fraudulent, deceptive, and unfair business practices in the marketplace and to provide information to help consumers spot, stop, and avoid them. To file a complaint or to get free information on consumer issues, visit ftc.gov or call toll-free, 1-877-FTC-HELP (1-877-382-4357); TTY: 1-866-653-4261. The FTC enters consumer complaints into the Consumer Sentinel Network, a secure online database and investigative tool used by hundreds of civil and criminal law enforcement agencies in the U.S. and abroad.
