I'm proud of what America is at it's best. Not the current greed and corruption that is rampant at all levels of society here. I've lived in Israel, Hong Kong, and been around the world. There are other fine places to live but America is unique for the fact that people from all over the world came here to be the best they could be because our Constitution uniquely focuses on individual rights. We are not a democracy. We are a constitutional republic that believes in unique individual rights that we all are entitled to.

America is in real trouble right now because it forgot what it was about. Greed and buy now and pay later has caused much damage. Ethics and decency went out the window for the greedy desire to have it now and the con artists had a heyday.

I could move back to Hong Kong. There are advantages. It's more solvent than the US and they don't tax your savings or capital gains there. Instead of living on my beautiful six acres with a view of the Teton range, I would be in a very small apartment and paying what I do on my house a month for a closet.

Also, in China there are some financial and business opportunities but there is zero political freedom. The govt. can come in and take what your worked for at any time. Now the US Govt. is working hard on doing just that but we still have more freedom than China warts and all.
