      I actually think it's perfect timing for that. The debate needs to cool down a bit, people need some time to rethink & repackage proposals and ideas. Come back with some fresh stuff.

        What they need to do is pass Ted Kennedy's Medicare for All bill from 2007. And since the Repukes will want to balance it out with something "anti-Kennedy" they can roll back the JFK tax cuts for the rich to pay for it.

        Problem solved.

            Is this the same water you pay for monthly on a bill and also pay for with your taxes? Is this the very water so many people complain about due to all of the additives included? Or that people in many states fight over who gets what allotment? Or that you are required to conserve during summer months. Are fined if you use over a certain allotment?
            I live in Canada..with our "socialist" and "communist" healthcare.

            EVERY TIME I have ever called the Police, they showed up...fucking fast.

            EVERY TIME I have called for or witnessed a call for an ambulance...it showed up...fucking fast.

            Water ALWAYS comes out of the faucet, etc. etc.

            You ignorant motherfuckers decrying public healthcare or so fucking spaced out, it's astonishing. Really and truly. Democracy IS ABOUT a degree of socialism. What you are advocating IS NOT DEMOCRACY in any way...this moeny-means-all attitude.

            Your fucking forefathers are turning in their fucking graves.......Democracy raped, twsited and polluted....moeny money money mothercukign money....yet you Americans have the HIGHEST OBESITY rates and heart disease rates in the World........Money apparently is more important to health to many in the USA....the evidence proves it.

            A strange species, human beings. And the American sub-species even stranger.

                All you have to do is study up just a little to understand why people do not want the government running anything else.

                Social Security = out of money
                Post Office = out of money
                Medicare = out of money
                FDIC = out of money
                etc.......

                Hell, even Cash For Clunkers ran out of money less than two weeks into a 3 month program (scheduled...never made it full term). If they can't run something as simple as a vehicle rebate program, why would anyone want them running something as massive as health care.

                        Any chance to provide meaningful health care legislation with this current bill has already gone by the wayside.

                        Once the single-payer option was virtually removed from all the proposed bills before it even had a chance to be debated, everything else amounted to rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic.

                        All that has really been made clear by this latest snafu is that government as we know it (and that includes both sides of the aisle) just isn't up to handling the business of the people any more than the captains of the financial industries - these politicians are just out for themselves, much like the CEOs of the various companies that should have went belly-up yet got to stuff their pockets with taxpayer dollars instead.

                        There is no consequence for failure anymore regarding career politicians or heads of industry.

                          Didn't think this needed its own thread and the guy that got his finger bite off seems a bit of a dummy...

                          LOS ANGELES – One man bit off part of another man's finger when a health care reform demonstration turned violent.

                          William Rice said doctors did not reattach the bitten-off part of his left pinky after he got in the middle of a Southern California rally Wednesday night that he said was "very scary."

                          ...
                          Rice was treated at Los Robles Hospital and Medical Center. The top joint of his pinky, including his whole fingernail, was severed, hospital spokeswoman Kris Carraway-Bowman said.

                          She said his treatment was covered by Medicare.:tongue0011:
                          ....
                          "I didn't go out to demonstrate my beliefs, I happened to be driving by and I stopped to ask people what their purpose was," Rice, 65, said in a telephone interview Thursday. "I had no signs, I was not part of the demonstration."
                          ~Sure you didn't, buddy. You just parked your car over on the other side of the street and walked over to stand around
                          Watch the video he is in near tears from the stress of lying through his teeth near the end of the video.

                          I have been called to a number of altercations and never ever have I ever heard of a finger getting bit off by a punch in the mouth. I venture to say Rice stuck his fingers in the dudes mouth. Or just a really sloppy unlucky punch.

                          Anyway, Kids no hitting, biting, hair pulling or scratching.
