On the topic... current administration seems to be very typical for a Democratic president. Yes there's wars going on, but most of the talk centers around "domestic" issues and the business of running the country internally.
It's almost a 180 degree opposite with a Republican adminsitration... yes they're running the country internally and dealing with domestic issues, but most of the public talk centers on the wars.
Honestly... I don't see a whole lot of difference in the actions being taken currently. Just a difference in what's making the front page news in how it's presented to the public.
If you do some digging into the current status of the Iraq & Afganistan offenses... You'll find there's been very little change in how the White House is approaching both from the Bush to now Obama adminsitrations. In fact nothing much has changed other than the positioning of DoD press conferences and focus of the White House press secretaries' office daily briefings.
So yes, I would say Obama is acting like a president with two wars going on. Only difference is how it's being presented to the public... throw out the "War on Terror" name and position discussion slightly behind the domestic agenda. Seriously nothing much has changed other than the talk of the day...
