I was at the Sacramento Tea Party, and it's really cute how the media can really displace and twist events into their own liking. What's even cuter are the sheep who watch this and devour it with saliva still dripping from their chin because it's relative to what they believe in.

Truth be told, that's the best protest I ever went to. I didn't have to check my back pocket ONCE because everybody was so nice and genuine, and I also had my space even though there was a 4000+ turnout. Everybody exerciesed their "excuse me's," and "pardon me's" and would start friendly conversations.

WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT THESE WERE VIOLENT, SCARY PEOPLE!

And don't even start with carrying guns or threatening violence OPENLY around political events. Care to talk about the Black Panther Party members in Philadelphia on voting day? If you haven't heard about this yet - then you really don't deserve to open your flapper about anything remote about MODERN politics.

You can be liberal or conservative and still stand for freedom. The liberals stood up against the Vietnam War which we now know was more about feeding the military industrial complex than fighting communists. Look. If a liberal doesn't like guns, he wants all guns outlawed.

Actually, I have absolutely no problem with sane, law abiding adults owning a reasonable number of firearms, if they so choose. I do believe in background checks, and believe that nobody - including gun shows or private sales - should be able to sell a gun without the buyer passing said background check. Criminals and lunatics should not have guns. But they frequently do, and usually it's the gun shows that sell them.

If a conservative is a vegetarian, he doesn`t eat meat.

If a liberal is a vegetarian, he wants all meat products banned for everyone.

I have never met a vegetarian or vegan who wants to outlaw meat. They are more than happy to tell you all the reasons why you shouldn't eat it, but they leave that choice up to you. And any picketing or protesting of meat producing/selling entities are probably more tied to cruel or unethical industrial farming practices than they are to actually eating meat itself. And for the record, I eat meat, but not every day.

How many of those "independently successful" Republican black men owe their advancement to affirmative action programs instituted by Liberals? Clarence Thomas has admitted as much, and nobody could doubt his "conservative credentials". Would he have become a lawyer at the time he did without them?

The only thing I have ever heard Liberals say about the media (and the only thing I have ever said myself) is that corporate consolidation has left the media in the hands of far too few corporations, and these corporations have a right wing bias. I have no desire to take Mush Limpdick off the air, but I would prefer an equal playing field where Thom Hartmann can compete in all the same markets. If this were the case, you would probably see Thom with better ratings, nationally, than Mush. (that's just one example, since those two radio shows run in the same time slot in most markets)

If a conservative is a non-believer, he doesn’t go to church.

A liberal non-believer wants any mention of God and religion silenced. (Unless it’s a foreign religion, of course!)

The only problem I have with religion is where it blurs the line with political organizing and funding. Falwell's "Moral Majority", Robertson's "Christian Coalition", and the Mormon Church's bankrolling of last year's Prop H8 in California, for a few obvious examples. Preach what you want in your church, but don't insist it be written into law, and don't use a tax-exempt church structure to funnel money to political causes, especially those which are against civil rights.

If a conservative decides he needs health care, he goes about shopping for it, or may choose a job that provides it.

A liberal demands that the rest of us pay for his.

What happens when that conservative loses his job, and therefore his health care? Employer based health care obviously has that fatal flaw, and just ask General Motors or any other large corporation, the expense of administering such a program for a large workforce can cripple your company. Other countries with public health care systems do not have this problem, and their companies aren't going broke. Nor are their citizens (from medically related bankruptcies). It's time the US caught up with the rest of the civilized planet.

If a conservative slips and falls in a store, he gets up, laughs and is embarrassed.

If a liberal slips and falls, he grabs his neck, moans like he' s in labor and then sues.

Oddly enough, I know some people who have initiated bogus lawsuits, and every one of them had right wing political beliefs. Not to say some "liberals" probably haven't also done it, but I would rule this one a totally non-partisan issue.

I don't know anything about that. I've never been sued or sued anyone. Even my divorce was amicable and cost me only $250.00 total
