Boulder's a religious reich town now? It used to be Hippie central.

Boulder is probably the most hypocritical place you'll ever find on the planet. It's less hippie now as it is rich yuppies who drive expensive Volvos, BMW's wear Eddie Bauer and carry a iBook (or it is a iMac?) to outdoor cafes, are really into recycling and yet are basically the rudest people you'll ever have the misfortune to run across.

These are the same people who pat themselves on the back claiming that they have run Wal-Mart out of town and then use that same behavior on the homeless and mentally ill because these people are eye sores for their outdoor Wi-Fi experiences.

In the past 6 to 8 years or so I've seen Boulder go from this bourgeois college town of rich Californian and east coast transplants to a trendy (well, it's always been trendy) soul-sucking social elite class of assholes who like to flaunt money, and can't hold a conversation that doesn't concern it, display insolence towards the local police and public laws, and are general bullshitters of the most pseudo-intellectual new age crystal speak imaginable.

As for the religious zealots whackos, all I can say is that over the past 10-15 years or so many have been coming in droves but mainly down in Colorado Springs where they seem to have set up shop and basically shit all over what I thought was a decent conservative military town with their anti- this or that rhetoric in churches costing in the millions.

Really, this used to be a nice state and after watching that video all I can say is that I'm embarrassed that I live here among these asshats and circus barkers.

I hear ya on The Springs......I rarely venture down there. Boulder, "ain't never been there they tell me it's nice". After reading what you said I think I'll pass.
