Again with the we crap...
Never seen such useless milage come from such an inconsequential bit player in the scheme of things on these boards.
Back in the day... 90% of your "nominated" mods were just personality contests won by whoever could maintain the strongest stream pissing in the wind... 10% brought a passion for a certain subject matter expertise or could actually perform the technical functions to run the board.
The downside of modding all your top personalities is you end up with a board membership and discussions dominated by a core group. It works against membership building... it becomes more about the appointed primadonnas/personalities than your core membership. Saw it happen here several different times, at DDLR a few times and finally at Rothfans as well... nothing kills a discussion board quicker.
The primary function of a mod should be administrative first. Keeping your topics/forums organized and on subject. Secondly they should keep things moving by contributing to their forum subjects... but not dominating and definately not intimidating members from participation.
The most successful discussion boards are all about their subject matter and member community... not just a select group of personalities pretending to run the place when all they are doing is running their own exclusive playground for malcontents & net-bullies... Hate to say this... but this is where VHlinks excels and most of the DLR boards have failed.
Gar... it's long past pretending to be a part of the mod team and try, if you can, to be contributing member. Although it may be past recovering. Clearly most of this community would rather see you gone... either on your own or when the admins have had enough of your crap...
