U.S. Military Weapons Inscribed With Secret 'Jesus' Bible Codes

Coded references to New Testament Bible passages about Jesus Christ are inscribed on high-powered rifle sights provided to the U.S. military by a Michigan company, an ABC News investigation has found.

The sights are used by U.S. troops in Iraq and Afghanistan and in the training of Iraqi and Afghan soldiers. The maker of the sights, Trijicon, has a $660 million multi-year contract to provide up to 800,000 sights to the Marine Corps, and additional contracts to provide sights to the U.S. Army.

U.S. military rules specifically prohibit the proselytizing of any religion in Iraq or Afghanistan and were drawn up in order to prevent criticism that the U.S. was embarked on a religious "Crusade" in its war against al Qaeda and Iraqi insurgents.

An abridged version of General Order No 1

Since the 2003 liberation of Iraq, the term also refers to a multi-page United States Central Command order that prohibits consumption of alcohol, sexual activities with local and third country nationals, offering food considered forbidden (haraam) under Islam to local nationals, and proselytizing by United States Department of Defense personnel while in a combat zone and certain pre-deployment training activities.

I will say this is a defense contractor that did it and not military personnel but come the fuck on, people.

Well, the good news is that the enemy isn't seeing our sights up closely enough to read a small inscription on them.

True but if the from Jesus with love ever got leaked out there....it'd be hard for the missionaries to convert the heathens.....strike that, missionaries have always used the old, convert or die tactic.

If I'm going to be out there shooting bad guys in sheets I want a scope with the proper inscription...

            Mark 14:51-52
And there followed him a certain young man, having a linen cloth cast about his naked body; and the young men laid hold on him: And he left the linen cloth, and fled from them naked.

I'd also shoot the heathens in the crotch, but with another scope...

            Deuteronomy 23:1
He that is wounded in the stones, or hath his privy member cut off, shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD.

Yep, with that skit, along with "The Bishop" (below) and a few films, Monty Python pretty much warped my view of Christianity forever when I was a teenager.

You know now that I think about it, Craig. They warped my views, too.

Wonder if we'd get any monetary damages....if we sued them

Nah, we'd just blow it on strippers and beer

Proselytizing, and company-engraved inscriptions or other such approved decorations or stylings, are two very fucking different things.

What a dick you are! These guys are out there in the 'zone, sending these fuckers back to Him Who Sent Them (all praise and glory be 6 ft under to them..) and you don't wish these triggermen the blessing of a free nation that allows its contractors to do shit like bible inscriptions - you're priorities are fucked up.

Get a life. They're doing the Lord's work, they should at least see his word every now and then even they don't believe their enemy is gaining Paradise with each payload sent if they wish.. or if they do not wish they could always polish it off..

A scope with an etching of Exodus 2:12 would be

And he looked this way and that way, and when he saw that there was no man, he slew the Egyptian, and hid him in the sand.
