How about an inscription that says "He who lives by the sword, dies by the sword."

They sure have a bizzare fundamentalist Christian attitude at the Air Force Academy. I actually dated a daughter of an Air Force Colnel. She had big beautiful brown eyes and an ass to die for but her dad was a Christina nutball as was her whole family. The whole Aire Force culture in Colorado Springs was centered around unhealthy levels of Christian nutballery.

Christian fundies don't last long in the USMC, they either quit and get drunk with the rest of us, or go insane from people not believing their BS. If anything, only three things come to mind: getting the mission accomplished, booze and most importantly POON TANG! :D

Isn't that where the Air Force Cathedral is... wow, how could you expect the people who are in the Air Force there to be associated with a christian way of life..?

Especially the daughter of a Colonel.

And with your personal views on the connection and your innability to work it out, isn't it for the best you two broke up..?

Perhaps she found someone with similar ideals and is happy..?

I am unqualified to defend the military personel you guys are degrading and I find your words to be generalizations based on personal vendetta due to what I think is a warped sense of reality.

Or the American way of life.

So, I speak in the tone of the accusation and falsehood of your words.

You get pissed when you are challenged and that is all I am doing.

You make a post, when aggreable posts follow you all spank each other with the the little thamk spank button, and when I post against your statements you NEVER post anything in rebuttle to prove your acussatory stance, you just call the challenger a Huff head. Threaten to move thier posts.

I'll make you a deal: if you want to spend the rest of your life running away from people who challenge your base think alike group. If you aren't up to conversing with others who see the world from a different point of view.

                    Just say so.

Otter: Ladies and gentlemen, I'll be brief. The issue here is not whether we broke a few rules, or took a few liberties with our female party guests - we did. But you can't hold a whole fraternity responsible for the behavior of a few, sick twisted individuals. For if you do, then shouldn't we blame the whole fraternity system? And if the whole fraternity system is guilty, then isn't this an indictment of our educational institutions in general? I put it to you, Greg - isn't this an indictment of our entire American society? Well, you can do whatever you want to us, but we're not going to sit here and listen to you badmouth the United States of America. Gentlemen!

Great quasi interrogatorial three dimensional post CC. If I would have posted it it would be spam.

Awesome and within the context of the thread.

Well I liked it...so does that mean it is now bad...?

I have a 9th grade education that I haven't used, as far as writing skills, since the 70's.

I always love how some people assume that because I am against thier position on political issues that must mean that I am "A Something".

That is the facism in thier concepts that they think is thier group identificational center.

This is the reason some of these people pove thier point always by describing a utopian world that is socialism, thier need to understand and catagorize .

So because these "Intellectuals" consume thier own souls with thier need to identify themselves by a -Group Think- to find thier puprose.

They immediatle catagorize any who oppose thier thoughts or thought statements, then these "others" must be catagorized to be understood.

As you all lose yourselves within these groups you lose your ability to think without labeling others.

                            True bigotry.

There is a certain amount of truth in what you are saying is taking place here and in other political forums across the country. Yes, there is a unfair amount of labeling that goes on, yet I strongly disagree that it is in any way fascistic. More than anything, I'd put it down to an honest degree of basic human nature, a point that you yourself addressed by acknowledging the "Group-Think" that is part and parcel of what is going on, country-wide.

Is there an inherent safety in numbers? By all means, of course there is, particularly in the body politic. All you need do to recognize this is to look at how words like "liberal" (for instance) have been adapted to no longer mean progressive thinking, yet rather in today's world defines a slur taken to describe someone that is unfocused and hopelessly unrealistic. As recently as 20 years ago, this same definition applied to the word romantic, yet both words inferred an optimism that has decidedly disappeared from the arena of political theory.

And I'm not talking about those dimwits that believed the world would change overnight if they voted for Obama. To simply put a new guy in charge of a system that is full of fault and expect immediate change is not only naive and genuinely idiotic, it also explains why the Oakland Raiders and Washington Redskins continue to suck, year after year.

Anyway, where was I? Oh yeah, bigotry. thome, the only thing I can tell you is that if you wish to present an alternative to the political thought taking place in a thread, simply do so. Lay out your ideas in a easy to fathom, rational manner. So what if people throw mud at you? Use that to dig in your heels, and go further into detail explaining your beliefs. Remember, it is up to you to prove your arguments. That in and of itself is the point of the entire exercise. And doing so with clarity and reason will eliminate the wise-cracks, believe me.
