That is how it's done when the democRATic majority doesn't want to include the minority party in how a bill is shaped, like that travesty of a healthcare reform bill that Obama, Pelosi, and Reid tried to ram thru Congress after all their secret meetings and behind doors deals for certain states.

The Democrats HAD a filibuster proof majority. How can you try to put blame on the Republicans for threatening to do something that they could not even had they wanted to? You can't blame the Dems ineptness and inability to get anything passed on the Repubs this time. It's just not the truth.
Whether it was filibuster "proof" or not is not the point. The point is that the Republicans were threatening to do it, rather than simply arguing the bill on it's merits and faults and voting on it, which is how it's supposed to be done...
