I can understand that, Zah. I guess sometimes I don't see our leaders as people and get more into their policy than the human element.

Really I hate to say this but....if I had an ounce of respect for Palin I would never call her that.....there are many people I disagree with but still have respect for. If you ever notice I rarely ever use the word but in her case I made an exception.

As far as your daughters go....I've read enough of your posts to have a good idea you haven't raised nut jobs like Palin, so I doubt anyone would use that term to describe them.

Palin...at the end of the day, even a cursory look at her record reveals her to be little more than a career opportunist, regardless of what line of work she's in. But given the extremely limited amount of talent, intelligence and work ethic she has, being an opportunist is really her only option, so I can't hardly blame her for it. I mean, what else does she have to fall back on? It's quite clear to anybody with more than two digits in their overall IQ that she's grossly unprepared for the global stage, and a deeper look at her record in Alaska reveals her to be unprepared for even THAT limited stage.

It's unfortunate that such a lucky nincompoop like her gets the ears and hearts of so many people, but like attracts like and that's why there will always be a market for fucking idiots.

What we're seeing in the GOP is the exact same thing that pissed me off about the Democrats years back.....you bitch about everything but have no solutions. You don't like what Congress is proposing then come up with a better bill or proposal. Take your case to the American people and win over their approval.

The Republicans are stuck in the Carl Rove mentality....be afraid, be very afraid. Obama is a communist, Obama is a Socialist, Obama is a...whatever other "ist" you got.
You may get the micro-wave mentality class of Americans to buy into that but the reality is most thinking people will not buy that.

So Obama hasn't done anything and a year later still hasn't done anything.....bullshit. No matter who the President is, it takes more than a year to undo all the damage that has been done to our country. Not a popular stance but it's the truth.

Now back to Palin....what is her comprehensive plan to put America back on track? What specific things doesn't she like about what Congress and the President are doing? What would she propose to do differently? Anyone know?

            Agreed on all points.

I really wish that for once, the republican party or someone could put someone that would stand on the basis of a lesser gov't and cutting spending across the board, but at the same are qualified, wasn't born with a silver spoon in their mouth and wern't morally in the wrong, (IE, in bed with the oil companies.)

Hell, even people I completely disagree with on policy, I wouldn't mind having a bigger influence in the gov't, like a kucinich would be great to see. I'm tired of seeing my gov't just being used as a giant auction for special interest groups on BOTH sides.

            That really needs to stop.

I'm sick of it, too. I have no party loyalty, I'd vote for a Republican in a second if I thought they had a better plan....I've said it before, I'm a whore on the local level....I'll vote Republican, Democrat or Independent if that person, given all the information available, seems better qualified or has better ideas.

If you think about it, having the Tea Baggers will only accomplish taking votes away from the Republican base and the Right Wing of the Democrats. Liberals and moderates will not support the Tea Baggers, IMO. It also goes to show the Republicans are adrift and have no leadership or direction.

It's a sickness that has infected Washington for too long. An us against them mentality, the only people who ever suffer for their bickering are the American People.

I don't care if she quits her elected post and uses her image and fame to make money. Fine. Go girl! Make some money. She's just not qualified to be president. I don't care if she becomes a television personality or whatever. At least she's milking it. She's that smart. She's going to get more perks and make more money than being a state governor.

Yup. We've become real pigs in that regard. Politicians always were a target but society used to draw a line but now everything is fare game. There is no decency anymore. Even with Kennedy womanizing everyone knew it, but the press didn't cover that because it would be the sleazy thing to do. When Clinton got busted the Republicans made the news sound like Penthouse Forum. The Star report read like juicy porn. It was nuts.

When she was running with McCain the men around here would go nuts. She was on TV in a bar full of fishermen and I thought they all were going to pull their dicks out and start wanking. I thought it was strange but she is a MILF. She's good looking, is in great physical shape, fishes and hunts. I mean you had a MILF that connected to these men on a political and recreational level. The perfect woman and it horned them out big time.

Hell, just look how far we have dropped in decency since Clinton. The whole John Edwards thing is nothing more than news filler. Even news of the sex tape that the judge just ordered returned was met with a collective yawn. We've seen too many of these things to really be shocked anymore. The next celebrity socialite is going to have to film having sex with a hippopotamus to get any type of recognition. Even then, I think I saw a website already like that, so again....yawn.

I won't defend John Edwards, or Elliot Spitzer, for that matter, but I can't help thinking they were both set up. Stupid enough to fall for it, yes, and that's entirely on them.

But either one of them could have been Attorney General, and would have been an AG that scared the living fuck out of Wall Street criminals. I don't think they're all that afraid of Eric Holder. I think Wall Street took a "preemptive strike" and took out the guys who could have shut their shit down.

I think a lot of the attacks against Palin in the fall of 2008 WERE a bit under-the-belt in terms of general taste. Same applied toward many of the racial sentiments aimed at Obama.

However, none of that means she was, even in the most remote sense, close to being qualified for the presidency in the event something happened to McCain. That much I was able to gather from her own debate performances, interviews and speeches.

                              Spitzer, maybe I'll buy.

Thing of it is, though, unless Obama was seen as a realistic threat to biz as usual on Wall Street, shutting down Spitzer and Edwards would just leave open the possibility that Obama would appoint someone else just as virulent to Wall Street interests.

With Edwards, the most troubling aspect of it all is how he continued to seek the prez nom, then the vp nom, and was even making an effort to lobby BO for the AG slot as late as April in exchange for endorsement. All the while knowing that the whole Hunter biz was lying there like a time bomb ticking away, knowing it would eventually explode in the press...what would that have done to the ticket had BO actually chosen him for vp and the story broke in October of 2008?

Isn't that the way you decide who to vote for.....by what they say, their background and what ideas they have. Palin came out 0 for 3 in those respects for me. Had nothing to do with her "hotness" factor or that she was a women.

If a women or anyone from any race/gender has better ideas, then that's who I'm voting for. Will all those ideas come to fruition? Nope. Never has for anyone in any political spectrum.

She had to write, "tax", "energy", and "lift American spirits" on her fucking hand to remember to make those key points. Jesus Christ! Those are things that should go without saying and if you're that dumb to not even know those are some of the biggest issues facing America, then you don't deserve to lead this country.

I love the spin they are trying to put on this now....that she did that as a jab at Obama's use of a teleprompter....give me a fucking break, she couldn't even remember Joe Biden's last name, so her staffers came up with that brilliant, "Can I call ya Joe". This is the future of the GOP, good luck....you're gonna need it.
