How come we trade with The People's Reupublic of China and The People's Republic of Vietnam but we don't trade with Cuba?

      Remember where Castro came from.

He defeated a bastard dicatator who was propped up by the US government. In return the US tried repeatedly to kill him and destroyed his economy with the embargo making it difficult for them to even get a hold of aspirin.

If I was him I would have a little gloat too about the excellent Cuban health system, pity the rest of his country is fucked.

And whilst we are talking about communists last time I looked Bush borrowed a fair amount of money from China...

It's as simple as three letters....

            No, not ABC. BCE.

Prescott Bush Sr. had a big stake in the Cuban sugar industry and was making a lot of money under the fascist Batista dictatorship. When Castro nationalized the industry, Grandpa Bush got fucked. Make no mistake, the BCE hatred of Cuba isn't ideological, it's personal. Unfortunately, since they have controlled every Republican administration since the Cuban revolution, it became US policy far beyond the typical Cold War scenario.

On the other hand, Poppy and Prescott Jr. did really well in China doing business with those Commies.......

So there you have it..... Some Commies are "bad" and some "not so bad" ..... depending on whether or not the BCE profits from them.

Actually I read an interview with a person who was in some Bush 41 cabinet meetings and they were discussing outsourcing US jobs to China then. So it was all calculated. It didn't happen by accident as did this merging of corporate power and government power that we see now.

Bush is an oil guy and he has alliances with other big oil people like the Rockefellers and Queen Betrice of the Netherlands who has huge stakes in Royal Dutch Shell. They have been extoring money from the Japanese for years because they can cut their oil off. China was willing to loan money because they were being blackmailed in the begining plus, they were being given US industry and military technology. Bush's plan seems to have been to keep Asia by the nuts; get them to loan to us and finance our debt or no oil. The problem is we don't control Venzualian, Irania, African, or Russian oil anymore so the Bush game isn't exactly playing out as he had hoped. If they don't loan the US money, the US military machine and everything else comes to a screeching halt. Bush also miscalculated on how fast China would build up it's military machine. The US Navy is basically obsolete now because they can take out our carriers no problem.
