if you're not listened to, there's nobody to blame but yourself. how many of those tea partiers voted for ron paul in the primary?

for the most part, these are people who would never, in a million years vote democrat (not that there's anything wrong with that), and i find it somewhat telling that they claim they're being ignored when the democrats are in power. losing an election does not mean you've been ignored. at the same time, THEY'VE ignored the deficit spending since 2001.

when the republicans started deficit spending, and the democrats attacked them for it (to be fair, i'm sure for mostly political reasons) did the tea partiers stand up and at least agree? nope. they had the opportunity to at least make their voice heard on that issue but they didn't.


so are they allowed to protest now? absolutely. are they allowed to take on the role of defiant martyrs and claim they were ignored? no.

Either the message has merit or it doesn't. I don't think it matters who the speaker voted for, or what they were doing a few years ago.

It's true that these people seem like total whackjobs. But I'm not sure I disagree with what they're saying.
