Why do most black Americans not like Van Halen?

I was at the last Van Halen gig in Baltimore and I didn't see one out of 20 000 people.

There are a lot black folk in Baltimore...

I have seen black people at Van Halen shows. Granted, not many. But 1980's hard rock fans are predominantly white males. Same reason you won't see a large number of white men at a New Edition or Boys 2 Men reunion concert.

Maybe it's just the fact that when you go to a show, you are basically "outed" as a fan. But the black community knows of VH for sure. They have been sampled by black artists several times. Michael Jackson, Tone Loc & 2 Live Crew come to mind right away.

Not bad once you get past the short Sweet Child O' Mine clip. Man, that has got to be one of Eddies best all time riffs. Hell, all of rock and rolls best all time riffs for that matter. Just never gets old.
