Good gravy, have things really become so bad that the American people deserve Sarah Palin as president?Oh, he'll run.... At this point, though, not very confident he'd win....
And the reason for that is, as GAR loves to say, is the "hoodwinking" of the American people....
Most Americans don't pay enough attention to Congress to realize that for the last two years the Republicans just said no, no, no and filibustered to everything, ignoring the FACT while their boy Bush sent our economy in the toilet, sending millions out of work .... Of course, not much got done, and of course, they blamed Obama and Pelosi.....
So now, Republicans take the House, nearly take the Senate, and unless you're immensely dense, will NEVER compromise with Obama....
Obama probably won't budge much either, probably vetoing anything that would happen to come out of the Republican House and maybe making through the Senate....
So by 2012, the typical American person will see four years of no progress, blame Obama, and thereby vote in some Republican schmuck....
And if that happens, by the way, I hope it's Sarah Palin, 'cause you fuckers deserve it.....
Obama's poll and approval ratings are right where Reagan and Clinton were in the two year mark of their first terms.
I mean, never say never, but the idea that Obama won't run again doesn't seem realistic. If for no other reason than the fact that the opposition party at the moment doesn't have a candidate to put up against him with a chance of winning.
If the economy keeps slowly ticking upward and unemployment comes down, even if it's just a percentage point, in the next two years, Obama will win in a walk.
If everything gets shot to hell, there's always a chance people will elect any quibbledick from the oppo party out of a fear reflex.
Hopefully, people will consider that the problems we face as a nation aren't such that can be solved by the usual two-party zero sum game of negative back-and-forth, nor are they problems that any one man in the WH can solve alone.
Overall, America is no longer a serious nation. Everyone is too quick to sue somebody else for a quick buck, blames everyone other than themselves for their own bad life choices, buys into the "everyone gets a gold star" mentality...a sense of being entitled to do whatever we feel like whenever we want without pondering future consequences. No sense of sacrifice for the greater good or devotion to any causes larger than one's own self.
America, by its own lessened standards of today, deserves to fail.Scramby eggs and bacon.Comment

In the provisions of the TARP, Bush gave authority to Paulson to do whatever he wanted, and forbid ANY court to do anything about it.....

I could tell Obama didn't care about the US or our culture when he was campaigning. He wouldn't show respect during the National Anthem or Pledge Alllegiance. He wanted the US flag off his campaign plane. It was apparent he not only wasn't one of us but seemed to loath everything we stood for.
He came in office with one agenda and one agenda only, to roll over the US Constitution and replace it with a socialist dictatorship. He didn't care how unpopular he was and showed disdain for the average American. He knew best and then after the election had the gaul to blame the voter and say we were to dumb to understand his perfect, infallable plan and he was in such a hurry he couldn't market it very good but it was basically our fault that it got derailed.
He's not going to bend or change and without absolute power the White House is going to be a miserable place for the egomaniac. He wants to be this great world figure anyways. I could see him being happier running the United Nations full time or having a position of power in the European Union. It's obvious he hates this country and if he can't dupe us into falling for his big change program, he's just going to take his ball and go elsewhere.
The guy is a nut job who should have never been elected in the first place. Obama was a costly lesson. No! You can't have the keys to the wine cellar!Comment

Obama never negotiated anything. He goes out and sells his plan and tells what lies he has to in order to sugar coat the sell. He said himself his agenda was more important than a second term and Nancy Pelosi said she didn't care if she lost some seats in the house because passing the legislation was so important. The whole thing was passed in the middle of the night on Christmas Eve and nobody ready the damn bill including Obama himself. They had the majority and were off to the races to pass as much stuff as they could and Obama thought he would get enough done where it couldn't be reversed. He thought the American public would stay duped longer. No! You can't have the keys to the wine cellar!Comment

As far as Obama in Europe he's still to the right of most of our conservative parties we're just relieved you don't have a fucking retard in charge at the moment which reduces greatly the chance of a worldwide catastrophe.Comment

If the 2012 election were between Palin and Hillary....I'd vote Hillary. As much as I hate to say it, she is the lesser of the 2 evils. She sure has been awfully quiet while the country realizes Obama was a mistake.
Republicans can win if they put up a decent candidate. I honestly don't know who that is though. I used to like Mitt, but he has been out of sight pretty much. Donald Trump? Maybe as VP. Dude is extremely smart. I used to hate him until I read his books.“Great losses often bring only a numb shock. To truly plunge a victim into misery, you must overwhelm him with many small sufferings.”Comment

That's true, I think Obama will probably get back in if he just keeps his nose clean and the economy starts to recover a bit because chances are the Republicans are going to end up fielding a complete bozo candidate after a huge fight with themselves.
It's kind of nuts though that people are talking about the next election already. This is the reason nothing ever gets done politically in the US, everyone spends their whole time campaigning rather than actually doing something.Comment

Obama will have to do what Bill Clinton did and give in to the Republicans and work with them but Bill had a good economy and was not a radicle like Obama. I think Obama will stick to his guns and if he runs he will lose. It's going to be impossible to get anything done the next two years because the government will be in stalemate. Who knows what will happen to the dollar in that time. I saw this coming a long time ago. I can hunker down for awhile no problem. No! You can't have the keys to the wine cellar!Comment

I don't think Palin will get the Republican nomination. It's being openly talked about that one of the biggest challenges of the Republican Party is to get rid of her. She isn't as popular as the media makes her to be. In fact, I don't trust her, I think she has sold out already plus, she just isn't intelligent enough to be president. Obama is smart enough but sadly he thinks citizens should just be serfs to the enlightened ones like himself. If Obama was half-way honest and wasn't such a socialist elitist I would like the guy.If the 2012 election were between Palin and Hillary....I'd vote Hillary. As much as I hate to say it, she is the lesser of the 2 evils. She sure has been awfully quiet while the country realizes Obama was a mistake.
