Pelosi to hang on as Minority Leader? Oh how blind.. she should hang by a rope instead for treason, collusion and racketeering conspiracy (cornhusker kickback, etc.)
Talk this morning about Nancy Pelosi staying on as Majority Leader is really vacant isn't it.
She and the policies the Dems supported are being resoundingly cast down at the first chance, virtually guttingg the party across the country and critically injured their seating in the house and senate.
Her term isn't up till 2012: Is there little chance of pushing her to the curb with the trash that remains? Is she that insistent upon destroying the Democrat Party?
I noticed on the ballot here in California several American Independant Party choices listed, and chose most of them knowing they may not make it but wanted to show support for a third-party with closer views to my own.
To my surprise, American Independant looks alot like the Republican Party Lite when you line up their causes side by side: like the Party of No Bullshit 2.0.
IMO it is quite possible that American Independant could become legally ratified in all 50 states before the next major election, it could be done in the next year or so.
If that happens, you could see another gutting of the Democratic Party as those registered as Democrats swarm to a party truly closer-to-center than the hard right views of the Republlican Party.
Is this the kind of collateral result that Pelosi and her supporters really want for their legacy term from running the DNC? True to the end destruction? Regret nothing - really?
That's the kind of asshole you really want gone. At least to the Mulatoid's credit he admits there are things that can be modified about their policies, but if Pelosi doesn't wanna walk the plank - we'll see how she survives.
Of course she'll get nominated, but there'll be much talk about for which seat could be appropriate and I would like to see her on the Toilet Seat - shitting out all the bad spirits that caused her to implode her party. But will she get the votes?
Imagine how few of those out-of-work Dems would support that, and how happy the Repubs would be if she were to stay - like a favorite punching bag.
If she's got no steam, clout, or favors to cull from within or without, why stay? Her standing would only decline as she and her ever-dwindling gang go down swinging - it's only going to prove disruptive.
