I was hoping Obama and the democratic congress would do exactly that. They were too busy continuing banker bailouts, taking over US corporations, and scheming any way possible to screw us citizens to worry about going after war criminals like Bush and Cheney. That being said, it's obvious the democrats and republicans are financed by the same people. The play book may be different but the result is the same. Less freedom, less rights, more spending, and more government encroachment. The only difference is the ass they kiss to get into power.

Hmmm. That conspiracy buffoon Alex Jones said Bush was going to hide out on his land in Paraguay as the Skull and Bones Club and Bilderberg Group killed us US citizens off with manditory swine flu vaccines and marshall law.
In reality, I think Bush is bored and wants some attention. Maybe Dick Cheney is the one in Paraguay.
Unfortunately, this is another area where Obama and Eric Holder have failed to uphold the law. Chimp has confessed to committing felony war crimes. What could be a more slam dunk case? But they won't do it.

WASHINGTON – The Interior Department's inspector general says the White House edited a drilling safety report in a way that made it falsely appear that scientists and experts supported the administration's six-month ban on new drilling.
The inspector general says the editing changes resulted "in the implication that the moratorium recommendation had been peer reviewed." But it hadn't been. The scientists were only asked to review new safety measures for offshore drilling.
The investigation is the latest in a string of incidents where the Obama administration has been accused of overstating the science behind official reports and political decisions made after the massive Gulf oil spill. In the wake of the April 20 disaster, the administration struggled to portray that it — not BP — was in charge of responding to the blowout, which killed 11 and spewed millions of gallons of oil into the Gulf.
Last month, staff for the presidential oil spill commission said that the White House's budget office delayed publication of a report by federal scientists that forecast how much oil could potentially reach the Gulf's shores. Federal scientists initially used a volume of oil that did not account for the administration's various cleanup efforts. A smaller volume was ultimately presented.
The same report said that President Barack Obama's energy adviser, Carol Browner, and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration head Jane Lubchenco contributed to the public's perception that a government report on where the oil had gone was more exact than it was by emphasizing peer review. Browner, the commission's staff said, also mischaracterized the analysis on national TV, saying it showed most of the oil was "gone." The report said it could still be there.
The IG report says Browner's staff could have implied scientists had endorsed the moratorium, by moving up a reference to peer review in the drilling safety report. Steve Black, an adviser for Interior Secretary Ken Salazar who reviewed the final version of the text from the White House at 2 or 3 a.m. the day it was released, said he did not have any issues with the changes.
"There was no intent to mislead the public,"said Kendra Barkoff, a spokeswoman for Salazar, who also recommended in the May 27 safety report that a moratorium be placed on deepwater oil and gas exploration. "The decision to impose a temporary moratorium on deepwater drilling was made by the secretary, following consultation with colleagues including the White House."

There's a reason the BCE thought they needed a compound in Paraguay. At the time they did this (2006/07) they didn't know who the next President would be. They knew that Bill Clinton would never let Hillary charge the BCE with war crimes, but they weren't so sure about Obama. Let alone John Edwards, Dennis Kucinich, Howard Dean, and especially Al Gore, who might rightfully exact revenge on them. All of the above were potential Presidential candidates at the time Chimpy sent Jenna & Tonic on that little real estate expedition down South.
Unfortunately, this is another area where Obama and Eric Holder have failed to uphold the law. Chimp has confessed to committing felony war crimes. What could be a more slam dunk case? But they won't do it.

That being said, both Bush and Obama are horribly flawed people and horrible presidents who don't give a ratt's ass about anyone but themselves. I don't think Obama wants to make enemies with the big oil and military contractor crowd, so he lets them do whatever the hell they want. Obama's main objective is to take the US down at all costs. No! You can't have the keys to the wine cellar!Comment

Bill Clinton on the other hand had no real dark agenda. He was just a politician who was for sale to the highest bidder. He just ping ponged around trying to put himself in the position of best advantage to further his political career. Frankly. I would take Clinton over Obama or Bush. Once something became unpopular, he always sided with the voter. Bush and Obama tell us to go to hell. No! You can't have the keys to the wine cellar!Comment

Bush Waterboarding: 'I'd do it again'

Bush waterboarding is something he would do again, but retired military officials are outraged.
Bush Waterboarding: 'I'd do it again' has sparked outrage. George W. Bush casually admitted that used the waterboarding technique on Khalid Sheikh Mohammed. In fact, he said he would do it again to save lives.
However, the statement has horrified some former military and intelligence officials. They argue that the former president doesn't seem to understand the gravity of what he is admitting. The former officials said that the war interrogation technique is considered torture.
Waterboarding, a form of controlled drowning, is "unequivocably torture", said retired Brigadier General David R. Irvine, a former strategic intelligence officer who taught prisoner of war interrogation and military law for 18 years. "As a nation, we have historically prosecuted it as such, going back to the time of the Spanish-American War," Irvine said. "Moreover, it cannot be demonstrated that any use of waterboarding by U.S. personnel in recent years has saved a single American life."
"Yeah, we waterboarded Khalid Sheikh Mohammed," Bush told a Grand Rapids audience Wednesday, of the self-professed 9/11 mastermind. "I'd do it again to save lives." Some people are defending the former president, but others can't believe what he is saying.
"When he decided to do it the first time, he launched the nation down a disastrous road, and we will continue to pay dearly for the damage his decision has caused," Irvine said. "We are seen by the rest of the world as having abandoned our commitment to international law. We have forfeited enormous amounts of moral leadership as the world's sole remaining superpower. And it puts American troops in greater danger -- and unnecessary danger."Comment

The voter still elects presidents. Sure the big money can buy lots of ad time and use all the Hollywood and public relations tools to make a candidate into a celebrity. Obama won because what is known as the swing voters gave him the benefit of the doubt. Nobody really had that strong of a candidate and many felt McCain would be another Bush. Plus, the ditz he chose as a running mate didn't help.
Many saw Obama as the lesser of the two evils so Obama got the swing vote. There was nobody really good to vote for so they when with the guy who was promising something different. Of course a little research would show Obama as a Marxist radicle but nobody seemed to care and anyone who did was labeled a right wing kook. No! You can't have the keys to the wine cellar!Comment

The best offense is a good defense. Instead of invading countries looking for terrorists and throwing goat herders into concentration camps, you just secure your borders. Make it so nobody can get in and then deport who doesn't belong here. We have the scanning technology to do this and for what we have spent fucking Iraq and Afghanistan, we could have put a gold plated wall along the Mexican border. No!
