You could always join the military....

As a Navy retiree, I pay $115 quarterly for my entire family (kids until age 21 or 23 for college kids) for medical care, including prescriptions.... Dental is separate.....

The thing is someone on the home front has to work and produce to pay for the military perks. Another problem is the US Government doesn't count government pensions as a liability. So your pension isn't even figured in on the budget. The older guys might be ok, but the younger people will get a rude awakening when they either don't get a check, or the government script doesn't buy anything. Much like the Soviet soldiers getting screwed when their system collapsed.

Without a real economy, government perks don't mean shit long-term and we are killing our economy off. You only can print paper for so long. Unless we seize the oil and heroin and spread the wealth around, those wars are sucking on our economy. So the government employees will get screwed as well, but they probably will be the last to get screwed because the government has to rob the rest of us to pay for it.

You are in the cross hairs then. The powers that be hate mom and pop because they don't go on welfare, and they are too small to buy off the politicians. Mom and pop get ass fucked.

Yeah, fortunately I do - but wasn't Obamacare supposed to make it easier for mom and pop companies to provide coverage to their employees?

Wish I could find that clip of congressman Joe Sestak (who is also a retired Admiral) from the Bill Maher show a couple weeks back. I forget the exact words he used, but he explained the logic of the military having a decent health care system in order to keep a healthy fighting force, and how corporate America, if they had any sense, would look at it in a similar way.

Some of it already is in effect but the bulk of it won't get going until 2014. Also, enjoy the new 3.5% home sales tax they included in it with the additional 42 government regulatory agencies. You will have to have permission to buy an aspirin.

Well it's obvious we didn't fix shit and it's only made the crises worse. Why would you want to turn your healthcare over to a government that gropes children at the airport? The government is unworthy of providing us anything.

For as much as government fucks things up, the private sector fucks them up even worse. For example, find me a public owned utility that crashed and burned like ENRON. You won't find one.
