I'd like to see Obama voted out, but I think Republicans will nominate someone that I can't support. :|

In terms of the big issues and how they have trended over the last several decades, I'm beginning to wonder if it really makes a difference with respect to which party is in power.

Whatever regrets I have about Obama, McCain (with or without Palin) wasn't an option.

In general these days, the definition of "Congress" is "An elected body of people, whose sole purpose is to promise to help their constituency, when in reality they intend to go to Washington, and obstruct every attempt by anyone to actually help the very people who voted for them, while ensuring they do the will of their Corporate Overlords who paid for their campaign, so they can divert some of their constituents' cash into their own personal bank account i.e. 'Slush Fund' ".

Obama did as well as he could have under the circumstances, but Congress has no purpose other than to obstruct the President and to give the Judicial Branch some stuff to rule on so they appear to actually be doing something. All while attending the 'right parties' inside the Beltway, and having clandestine affairs with interns of both sexes, while learning how not to get busted for their transgressions.

When I met Ozzy Osbourne, the 1992 elections were less than a week away. Ozzy asked me who I thought would win. I said it seemed Clinton was going to take it. Ozzy said "I would rather see Bush win. Better the devil you know, than the devil you don't".

Obama was definitely the lesser of 2 evils.

That said, it's also a fair statement to say that I'm kind of fucking furious with Obama right now. This is not the Democrat I voted for. Is there ANYTHING he's not going to end up compromising on? By agreeing to extend those tax cuts, he's enabled SIGNIFICANT economic damage in the years to come, and why? Because he's worried about getting re-elected and following Clinton's "Let's all play nice" centrist bullshit.

Honestly, he may as well have just surrendered the White House because NOW the Republicans own him and they fucking know it. Any of the good things that have happened over the last two years (and there have been more than a few) are all on the chopping block and we may as well forget doing anything to improve health care reform.

Over the last two years, Reid and Pelosi's mismanagement, Obama's centrist leanings and Faux Noise have managed to relegate the Presidency of the United States to a position of virtual worthlessness. Well, I certainly hope everybody's really fucking pleased with themselves. Were the notions of hope and change really all that bad?

For the first time in my entire life, I'm honestly considering moving out of the country to somewhere with leadership I can believe in.
            Whatever dude...

I doubt you're brave enough to relocate and fend for yourself outside of the comfort zone of the US...

China's economy is doing well. You can move there.

An eight-months pregnant woman was dragged from her home and forced to have an abortion because she had broken China’s one-child-per-family law.

Twelve government officials entered Xiao Aiying’s house where they hit and kicked her in the stomach, before taking her kicking and screaming to hospital.

There, the 36-year-old was restrained as doctors injected her with a drug to kill the unborn baby.

What bred all this corruption is too many people are leeching off the government. Goldman Sachs, Wells Fargo, The Bank of America, Chase, even the Federal Reserve Bank are all on welfare. Broke entities that not only are leeching on us, but unborn generations of Americans. We need to let them fail instead of letting them break us keeping them afloat so their executives can get record bonuses.

It's welfare for the rich if you look at it.
