I listen to him now & then. What bothers me though is you take a 1 hour time slot...you got news at the top & bottom of the hour with commercials at either side. You have news updates at :15 & :45 with commercials on either side. And when Rush finally does talk for a 6 minute segment, the first minute is repeating what he said in the last segment. OK, now we are down to a 5 min segment of which 2 minutes are Rush talking about Select Comfort Mattresses, Alan Bros steaks, or something like that.

So you really only get four 3 minute segments of actual Rush per hour. And half of that 3 minutes is Rush letting you know about his book, webiste, podcasts, newsletter, etc... Next time pay attention to any talk show host. It will disgust you how little talk you actually get. Especially the commercials where the host talks of a product but works it in to their segment making it seem part of a conversation. Drives me crazy.

$400 million salary and bonus from 2009 through 2016 ($100m plus bonus - the exact figure was not disclosed, except for "nine digit bonus" - and $38m/year salary)
So through his salary itself, he has earned $285 million for current work, $400 million for future. And that only covers back to 2001. Rush has been on the air since 1988. While he certainly earned less in his early days, it can be assumed his salary was significant. Additionally, it is rumored that he receives a share of advertising revenue, which would be quite large, considering his 20 million listeners each week.
Thus, in conclusion, Rush Limbaugh is close to, or just over the billionaire net worth mark. With at least $685 million, and advertising revenue joined with previous contracts which must be in the hundreds-of-millions range, Rush can be assumed an essential billionaire.

You point to the opposition and say they are doing this and that and then spout off how much better you are than those wimps and how we are going to win and how God is with us. It's pro wrestling with gold and and food storage ads.

It's exciting.

The liberals just whine and call people names. That's boring. The conservatives are more entertaining so they pull better ratings. They simply put on a more exciting show. You get to see Glen Beck cry and shake, you get to see Sarah arm herself for a bear attack, Rush blows hamburger bits into the microphone. It's great theater and even the liberals watch and listen because they know every detail of what these people say. Throw some ads on and $$$$$$$$$$$. Write some books and $$$$$$$$$.
