Unions helped a great deal to establish justice for the people in this country. But We the People have seen INjustice after INjustice at the hands of the treasonous corporatist predatory criminals for the last 30 years.

The Packers are owned by the people of Green Bay Wisconsin. Right wingers like yourself might call that socialism.

(Certainly comes closer to that definition than a health care plan which enabled mandatory payments to insurance corporations)

The people of Green Bay don't really own the Packers. Stock holders do...technically.

However, like Nitro said, they aren't paid dividends and the stock will never increase in value. It cannot be resold to anyone else. It can only be sold back to the team...for a very small amount. Also, you cannot just buy stock at just any time. The team offers stock when it needs additional capital, like in '97-'98 when Lambeau Field needed renovations. Since the 1920's, stock has only been offered 4 times.

What does stock get you?

The only thing stock gets you is the right to vote for the board of directors, like what other corporations do. In turn, the board appoints an executive committee, including a President/CEO which serves as the de facto owner of the team during league owner's meetings.
