BP has a wind farm not too far from here. They create a lot of jobs because they are maintenance intensive but what an eyesore they are. I really don't want to see windmills all over the landscape. What's funny is after the BP oil spill people started shooting up their windmills. BP's windmills were full of bullet holes but the other companies were left alone. LOL!

One company wants to tap the geothermic heat in the ground here and run turbines. The environmentalists say no way because it would be just outside of Yellowstone National Park. I've looked at their plans and you wouldn't even see the power plant from the roads where the tourists go. We are sitting on one of the world's biggest volcanos and all you would have to do is drill down to where it's hot enough to boil water and make steam. It gets no cleaner than that. Nothing to burn and no radioactive materials to deal with.

Maybe it's not a case of "seeing the power plant" as it is how it would effect the park itself. One of the main attractions at Yellowstone is Old Faithful, which of course is a natural release of geothermal energy. If you tapped into that geothermal energy somewhere nearby, you might "kill" Old Faithful, because the pressure would no longer need the natural vent. And that would kinda suck.

If they could tap this resource in a way that wouldn't harm the natural "wonders" of Yellowstone, then I wouldn't have any objection.

It wouldn't be any where near those geyser basins. The magma flow under Yellowstone is HUGE! I doubt it would have any remote effect on Old Faithful.

Here's a geothermal plant in Iceland. Where you see the people swimming is the famous Blue Lagoon which is fed by the power plant discharge. So build a power plant and have a thermal spa in the discharge water.

Geothermal looks like it has a lot of potential in the western United States. Basically, mother nature is the reactor. We just need to tap it.

This is probably what Alex Jones is saying. The global elite used HAARP to set off the Japan earthquake to create a nuclear catastrophe to reduce the worlds population. They can't wait for the cesium 137 to contaminate the water and soil to turn Japan into a wasteland. They didn't need Japan anymore anyways since China is doing their bidding now.
