My dad had limbaugh on the air and he was rambling on about the media was supposedly "Afraid" of Palin, and the fact that people would vote for her because she could supposedly win...
...fucking stupid...
She's dumb. period. Bush at least had a fucking Yale education going for him, Palin doesn't even have that.Still waiting for a relevant Browns TeamComment

You'd think that the people she works for would tell the woman to shut the fuck up unless she has a teleprompter in front of her....
I find it hard to believe that there is anyone as prone to making embarrassing public statements as she is...
but who knows......we have yet to get through the 2012 election“Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending.” ~~Maria RobinsonComment

And of course her followers are saying it was another one of those gotcha questions, the media set her up.. blah blah blah
But the kicker is she chose to visit Paul Revere's house on her own, no one forced her! So if you don't know the true history about where you're visiting try researching or asking!!
Did you hear what she said the Statue of Liberty stood for?? As Chris Matthews said a bunch of mumbled jargon!!Comment

I think Obama was a good hard lesson to not vote for someone just because they become a celebrity and get lot's of media hype. Sarah was the republican party's ill fated attempt to try and compete with Barrack in the media circus department. Basically the people who buy politicians have no interest in being out in the limelight so they find these attention addicted egomaniacs to run. Sarah would be just another Obama in fact she might be worse according to someone who worked on her staff when she governed Alaska. No! You can't have the keys to the wine cellar!Comment

I love how all these patriotic, constitutional loving Americans don't know the basic history of the country nor do they know the US Constitution or Bill of Rights. It's one thing to flub up being the average person but when you are followed by the press and are in the public eye all the time, some research might be a good thing to do.
Great decision actually, my professors were great folks, one used to serve in the army, and the other is your average run of the mill democrat, but I walked away with a balanced view of the country, and what really were the values that it was built upon.
It also helped to show me that a lot of people like Beck and Palin are full of shit waving around the constitution, and talking about the founders, and that, a great portion of the founders themselves would not be to keen on things like the "Patriot Act".Still waiting for a relevant Browns TeamComment

I did the same thing. Plus, US history and government was covered quite well in our middle school and high school. Most of our teachers were patriotic some were veterans and others were people who immigrated to the US and got citizenship. I remember my history teacher telling us his biggest fear was the American public would take their freedoms for granted and squander them. Well, that's exactly what has happened.
I think the powers that be are overconfident thinking the 2012 election will be business as usual. A lot of indicators are showing conservatives and liberals alike are not happy with the Republican or Democrat parties and we all know they are bought and paid for. Obama ran on change well we don't really want to change the constitutional foundation of the country but we want to change the too big to fail and by the corporation for the corporation.
They have spent all the celebrity equity with Barrack Obama. In 2012 he will be nothing special. The same with Sarah Palin. She's over exposed and over saturated. We might see some suprising things happen with Ron Paul or an independent candidate. I think more Democrats will vote that way as will Republicans. We are tired of both BS parties and their lame bought off celebrity candidates.
Half my family are republicans and half are democrats. In reality, they are the same more than they differ. The democrats work in education are pro union and view their party as the one that sticks up for the working class. The republicans all run their own businesses and are the rugged independent types. The one constant I see is both sides complain about government incompetence and corruption. They also complain about how the too big to fails are taking over.
The democrat teacher that got screwed out of their collective bargaining rights is getting screwed by the same people who will run the republican business owner out of business. He will be saddled will all sorts of additional costs while his corporate competitors get an exemption. It's all favoritism to the corporations and conservatives and liberals both get screwed.Last edited by Nitro Express; 06-04-2011, 02:26 AM.No! You can't have the keys to the wine cellar!Comment

Watching that video reminds me of my little nephew (a 3 year old). The intonation, mild acquaintance with the truth, the cadence, everything about the way she spoke and told that story is truly child-like. Scary.Comment
