With only a few exceptions, the VA is a good reason why the government should stay out of healthcare.

Also, most of the things people on both sides of the aisle listed here (VA, DoD, EPA, etc.) are not examples of socialism. The government fully taking over the auto industry (which it hasn't done...yet) would be.

The only way to get this under control is to cut government. Programs and earmark appropriations will still exist. You have to start throwing away everything.

I’ll start: The USDA spends huge amounts on subsidies and small amounts on enforcement. The USDA subsidizes tobacco and corn. These subsidies are going to Monsanto, ADM, and other factory farms. Farm subsidies are corporate welfare, peri od. Socialism.

Let ADM, Monsanto, GM, and Boeing get by on the strength of their products and not their lobbyists.

No other president in US history has spent as much on non productive means or brought us to the brink of default. A lot of the problem is Barrack Wreaking Ball Obama refuses to make deals. Would we be in this much of a mess if Bill Clinton was in the White House right now? I doubt it. He would make deals. Obama just says let me spend more money or I'm going to stonewall you.

As far as the fiscal mess goes it's been in the making for the last 40 years. Both Democrats and Republicans are to blame. Both parties are full of professional politicians who are out for their own interests. You just can't blame one group for all the problem but the public elected Barrack Obama to start turning the ship and start the recovery process. He and the Democrat congress sunk the ship. They had a window where they had full power and the spent us into oblivion. Where's the needed banking regulation? Where's the fiscal responsibility? Where's the repeal of Bush's anti-constitutional laws? They did nothing while making the situation worse.

It seems all the Democrats do is blame Bush while they make things worse and then try and stir paranoia over some imaginary group called tea baggers. Tea baggers seem to be the new boogie men out to get us. When you have no solutions the only thing you can do is blame someone else or cause a distraction. Historically failed politicians have demonized specific groups of people and even have started wars as a distraction. A divided house falls and the US right now is a divided house.

He has deployed more troops than Bush and expanded the war front into other countries. He renewed the Patriot Act.
