Of course. That was in the wikileaks documents. They supported Israel or us attacking Iran. They can't do it on their own. Once the oil runs out Saudi Arabia will be pounding sand with camels again because they have not invested in the future. Nothing more than pimps. The population of Iran is probably more educated than Saudi Arabia and Iran has the youngest by average age in the world. All while the industrialized nations of the world are aging. They play their cards right they might be in a great future position to become a super power. The industrialized west will have more old people than young people to run things. They will have to bring immigrants in. Japan has the same problem but they would rather try and make robots to do immigrant work. The one child policy of China may create future problems for that nation as well.

People who study worldwide demographics are always interested in Iran. If they ever kick that religious bullshit that holds them back, they might be a force to be reckoned with.

Yeah but the wackjobs are becoming the minority thanks to modern communications. That shit has to exist in isolation. The only reason the Mormon church outlasted it's persecution was Brigham Young isolated it in the Utah desert and made babies as fast as they could and brought over as many European converts as fast as they could. By the time the country had grown around Utah, they had the political control because of the concentration of numbers. If he did not do that, there would be no Mormon church today.

You see it in other organizations. One reason extremist organizations isolate and have lots of children is that is their power base. Open communications especially on an international scale is always the enemy of religious extremism. You can't create a bullshit reality with it leaking in.

The middle east is just a big version of Utah. LOL! No shit. Israel was like Utah except there were too many jews there and the problem with Utah is too many Mormons live there. It's all the same shit. The only difference is there isn't a turf war in Utah.

Let's not forget some of what was discovered through Wikileaks. The Saudis want Iran taken out. They would love to see it. They consider Iran a bigger enemy than Israel. I think it all has more to do with who controls the world's oil supply than religion or ideology. I used to have a neighbor from Egypt who was muslim and he once told me there was nothing in the middle east worth killing our kids over. I think much of the world has woken up to the fact that war is nothing more than a money making racket for some old men who do not have to fight in it. The best thing we could do to save the world would be to get off oil. Stop burning it up and save it for a chemical resource. It's more valuable for that than a fuel.

The media sells fear to scare people into backing the next money making war venture. Your kid or grand kid might get killed or maimed but your family won't see the loot made off of the war.

I believe the Saudis surprised the Israelis by basically telling them they would quietly allow the IDF flying through their airspace and even tacitly support operations...
