STOCK Act: Insider Trading Bill To Receive Senate Vote Next Week
Way too early to see which way the wind will blow come Nov.......
I'm not a registered Democrat, BTW. They deserve as much blame as the Repukes do!
In local elections I'm all over the map.....I vote for who I think is the best, not which letter is after their name.
Nationally, I voted for Demos....except for Perot back in the day.
I've always voted for a candidate and not a party. I have voted Democrat, Republican, and independent. I have been happy with with some people and not happy with others. Each party contains a vast number of different people. Some people choose one party over another because of a social issue. I know some Democrats who own their own businesses and are as capitalistic as anyone but they disagree with the Republican party on a social issue. I know Republicans who claim they are conservatives but they are as tax and spend and for big government as the Democrats are fingered for being.
I think one problem is the average voter is just lazy. It's easier to vote for a team than it is to do your own research on each candidate. What people should do is pretend are the manager of a business and the people on the ballots are people wanting a job from you. Then go to it and do your research realizing if you hire the wrong one it really could cost you. Basically the citizens own the country. It's like a credit union, co-op, or mutual insurance company. It's our money that runs it. So people have to grow up and act like owners and get responsible.

Dude, I spend hours researching each person I'm voting for but.......politics is a hobby/passion of mine!
Most American's are more swayed by TV adds then anything else in this country......so I agree about the laziness factor.

I have a feeling a lot of the GOP are going to lose this time around.
I hope everyone up for re-election this November lose. I say fire them all. They have behaved shamefully.
Remember this is an election year folks. They have to bring in some Dr. Feelgood legislation or sprinkle some sugar on us in hopes of getting re-elected. Then they will go back to raising their middle finger and saying shit like we have to pass the bill before we can see what's in it.
