Actually it was the plot of salami slicing.

An example of salami slicing, also known as penny shaving, is the fraudulent practice of stealing money repeatedly in extremely small quantities, usually by taking advantage of rounding to the nearest cent (or other monetary unit) in financial transactions. It would be done by always rounding down, and putting the fractions of a cent into another account. The idea is to make the change small enough that any single transaction will go undetected.[1][2]
He did this on a large volume of accounts for several years and stole a fortune. The theft on each account was so small the customers didn't notice.
No! You can't have the keys to the wine cellar!

My father in law served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He said if it was discovered someone was gay the other guys would beat the shit out of them. That's the way it was in those days. People stayed in the closet for good reasons. It could be fatal if you came out.

That's the way it was in the 50's. Mitt grew up in a world where he was taught black people were cursed and were paying off some bad karma basically and were not as deserving of the blessings others were entitled to. Homosexuality was a sign that someone was under the influence of evil spirits.

Also if you grow up Mormon the establishment indoctrinates you that you are more chosen and special than others because you are in the church. It's the whole lord's chosen thing on steroids. The muslims and other religions do it too.

Now in 2012 it's a much different society and the Mormon church is more of a corporation and asset holding company than the exteme cult it used to be. It's kind of amusing to watch it try to be mainstream but yet hold onto some of it's old beliefs. It can't be done but they try. You probably have seen their ads on YouTube trying to convince Joe Public we are normal people.

Mitt is one of those guys you really can't tell where he stands. He's kind of like Obama or Ronald Reagan that way. Not even Reagan's kids knew who the man really was. Obama is hard to figure out as well as Mitt is. I think both thrive on attention and basically become whatever they need to be to get into a position of power. I think Mitt is a workaholic and has to be doing something all the time. He's a hyper guy that way. Sitting around doing nothing would drive that guy nuts.

Finding a decent politician is almost impossible these days. Gold mining would be easier.

I really don't have much of a sense with Romney that he has any particular aspirations BEYOND winning the presidency.

I mean, I was no huge fan of Reagan, but at least he had an agenda and set of ideas that drove his candidacy and he did implement them once in office.

Obama falls into that category to a degree, although he's very timid in actually trying to realize his goals.

With Romney, he's been essentially running for President for 8 years, and I just don't have a real sense of what this guy is about...what makes him tick. He just fobs off these middle-of-the-road conservative platitudes, has no foreign policy beliefs to speak of...I mean, every politician blathers on in generalities about how the US will always support Israel; this isn't a detailed worldview. He's gonna cut taxes on the top tier of earners and deregulate business in hopes of a trickle-down redux. And he's mean to his dog. And blind people. And doesn't like gays or poor people and has no real sense of connect with anybody who didn't grow up in the rarified atmosphere he did (watching him try to do retail politics on the stump and his clear sense of discomfort with it makes that abundantly clear).

I don't even get a general sense that conservatives/republicans are even that thrilled with having him as the nominee, but are basically going to vote for him out of a sense that from that bizarre primary pack [Romney] was the one who had the best chance to beat Obama.
