There is a lot of confusion in this thread between the EU and the Euro.
The EU is a free trade area which is becoming more and more like a confederation.
The euro is a currency which 17 out of the 27 countries in the EU use, the UK isn't one of them.
Even if the euro fails the EU will continue and the UK will stay in it because half our trade is with the EU and to try and export into it would add all sorts of tariffs.
