I'd say the presence of the poison on his personal effects makes it a conspiracy FACT.

Who knows, I think there were plenty of other people that wanted him dead too at the point.

Mossad are a small organisation and like Al Queda the Boogy Man fear placed on them by others is useful to them and so they encourage it.

Just seems like too much of a coincidence that Arafat and Sharon both went down when they were both moving slightly towards peace. Arafat had been to the table with previous Israeli leaders, though the closest the process ever came to completion was with Rabin in the 1990s. And then they JFK'd his ass to keep that from happening.

It's obvious that neither the Likud party or Mossad is even remotely interested in peace with the Palestinians, because neither would have a reason to exist anymore without "those evil people who want to throw all Jews into the sea" (or whatever the current fear meme is)

As you know I have a lot of sympathy for the Palestinian cause but I always got the impression Arafat was a bit of a dick.

I'm no expert though, I find the whole politics of that place so depressing I tend to avoid reading too much into it. More than most US senators of course but not enough to really follow it all...
