What is interesting, is that the guy who showed up in court with the orange hair is not the guy they say he is.
Look at side by side photos. The guy with the orange hair is not the same guy who they are showing video of delivering a lecture back in college.
Check it out. These are two entirely different people:

The chatter to make the above intell assessment would have been picked up from the darknet areas of the web. The source I retrieved this from is questionable. However, he does do excellent analysis, specifically of weather patterns, which would lend him to have his analytic skills honed.
I do not have a professional facial recognition program. Therefore, I have to do it by hand with no computer aided point matches. Google "professional grade facial recognition software" and decide if it is worth your investment.
His face is relativity free of scars. however, this being a professional photo, most likely it was touched up.
Looking through the photos availed, I cannot conclude that all of the photos is of the same person.
How did James Holmes dating profiles surface? I question the validity of the dating profiles.
The dating profiles would fit as a marker of a pack hunt from the darknet.
Elvis, it is difficult to get a group of LEO (law enforcement officers) together and not have a by the book and/or goodie two shoes among them.
Without looking at the total case file, I would conclude that this phenomena derived from the darknet.
Points:
JH was a gamer, of sorts, which could lead to invitations to partake of darknet areas.
JH was naive, thus easily mislead.
The lack of online presence in normalized areas of the cyberspace would suggest that he was partaking of darknet.
