NPR was interviewing some woman who runs a tracking business for nutcase hate organizations. This guy was on their watch list as well as whatever white supremest group he hung out with. He played in some sort of white supremest rock band and also had a fair number of internet postings of bullshit to catch somebody's attention...

With that I believe is why the FBI is labeling this a terrorist event... along with him targeting a middle-eastern outfit. Although the dumbass chose a group that is generally no threat to anyone...

The internet has been such a useful tool for the FBI that they are actually laying off field agents and their support staff as I speak. There currently is a big controversy whether this is good because by doing so the agency will lose it's edge in field work but field work is expensive and they can save a lot of money doing it electronically. I can see where you would run a front online business selling material white supremacists are interested in and then you get their IP address, shipping address, financial information and then just sit back and see what they do online. Trying to get that with field agents would not be as easy.

Most employers are facing this dilemma ---- any kid born after 1995 grew up with the Interwebs and thinks it can solve all of society's problems.
