If it were only that simple. Right here in Colorado many so-called local businesses are writing letters to the Department Of Justice asking them to keep marijuana illegal for fear stoned workers may cause business revenue losses. So much for big business respecting the state's Constitutional laws.

Haven't let anyone pay to piss on me yet, Fishflaps - so much to your chagrin you've still got me (and everyone else at this site combined) beat in that department by leaps and bounds...

It's a ridiculous argument. Alcohol is legal, yet you aren't allowed to be drunk at work.

I did have a job once that stressed me out to the point where I would have my lunch at the tavern across the street, and when that wasn't enough, I'd sneak over to the convenience store next door and buy a 6 pack of stout which was in my coffee cup rather than coffee. Fortunately, I realized what I was doing before it became a problem and got the Hell out of there before I became an alcoholic. Everybody in that office was addicted to something.

Ironically enough, it was a Bible software company. And my stress came from talking to ignorant teabaggers with two digit IQ's all day long AND the incompetence within the company itself. For allegedly doing the Lord's work, we sure didn't seem to get a lot of help from Him at that Hellhole.

I don't believe businesses big or small lack respect for state constitutional laws. I think they just don't want to get caught up in the middle of this huge mess at this stage. Which is going to take a long time to sort out.

There's some seriously murky legal and fiscally dangerous waters right now between federal law and these new state challenges for any business and it's employees. Until that swamp gets drained and everything sorted out... most businesses will travel the safe roads to protect their business interests over recreational drug use.

You have to remember the simple facts... Legalization doesn't immediately render weed and it's intoxicating effects issue free. Natural or not... it is still a drug.

I've been trying to find that link. Most of those businesses here pushing for it are are banks.

                    Well that figures.....

Probably HSBC, right? They prefer that drugs stay illegal because they make a profit laundering the money.
